Batman vs. Spiderman

So in work today, we were debating who would win in a 1 on 1 fight between...

BATMAN VS. SPIDERMAN

4 of us said Batman and the other 5 said Spiderman.

Who'd do you think would win and why?

Spider-Man only loses when innocent civilians are in danger and gets distracted while saving them. Batman's moral code prevents him from putting civilians in danger. Spider-Man wins.

It's clear that Spider-Man is NOT smarter than Batman.

Spider-man has his strength, web and spider sense so he can counter most of batman does. But batman is one of those characters who can get out of anything. I guess I would say batman because he can out smart spider-man and he isn't a cry baby like how spider-man is.

depends on what series writer was writing it. :P However Spider-Man's spider sense should be able to counter any sneak attack planned by Batman, but it is not fool proof and Batman is a genius. I am gonna go with Batman, he could set traps, turn Spidey's friends against him and just outsmart him.

FYI. Batman is just a normal dude with tools and gadgets. In real life ( a real life with super heros and such in it ) he would get curbstomped by pretty much anyone with any mentionable powers.

Batman or Spider-man, I'm sure I've seen this before. Either way, this is always a tough one because Batman and Spider-man are my favs from their respective publishers... I can see it going either way all depending on their situations.

Batman has absolutely zero superpowers and relies on technology to do his bidding. Both of them in an MMA style fight with no gadgets, Spiderman will win every single time. He just has crazy reflexes plus his web. You may say that scenario is unfair, however it's unrealistic to think a superhero such as Spiderman can be beaten by a mere mortal. Some of you may dispute his web since I guess in the comic he had it come out of a gadget instead of his wrist like in the movie, but even so his reflexes are just too insane. Ghost_702

One problem. They're not in an MMA fight.

Batman relies on his gadgets, so of course he's going to lose against Spider-Man without his gadgets. Spiderman is also a mortal. AND Batman kicked Superman's ass.
