[QUOTE="Inconsistancy"]Chinese Spaghetti, Japanese Spaghetti, Italian Spaghetti... UNPOSSIBLE DECISION. Lonelynight??? I love noodely foods, I can't make a decision, and I like thinking of all exceptionally noodely foods as a form of spaghetti...
i like the ramen that we get in the individualized packets. top ramen i believe its called.:P Beef is best:D
[QUOTE="PiscesChick93"]The others look gross!Spaghetti. The others don't look appetising (to me, anyway).

I'm gonna have to agree with you there! =P
No offense to people who like them, though!

I couldn't find a nice picture. Edit: here's oneRamen I suppose. I like spaghetti and meat sauce, but only because the tomato and hamburger completely cover up the taste of the noodles, which are just starchy tasting.
Those Sheng Mian things look gross. Even that shrimp in there looks weird.

I like this thick white noodle pronounced 'hor phun' (no idea what it is actually called) in Cantonese. Normally there are two choices of noodles when you order from noodle stores here in Hong Kong, one is mien and the other is hor phun.
I also like ramen. I have only eaten ramen in proper Japanese ramen shops in Sydney twice but I always cook the instant ramen by Nissin foods when I'm hungry and mum is not home to cook.

Lonelynight, do you make noodles yourself a lot? Are there any basic recipes you or people you know like to go by?
I could Google I 'spose, but I figure I'd ask.
I like them a lot, but I don't know how to make any Asain-styIe noodle dishes yet!

I think that translates here as "rice-noodle". This seems to be about right:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beef_chow_fun
That's my favourite. Then next would be Vietnamese Pho.
Is there really a distinct difference in flavor between those Asian noodles, or is it like the difference between spaghettoni and spaghettini? That is, just a different shape or style of noodle with basically the same flavor.PS2_ROCKSDifferent types of noodles have different flavours and textures.
