Hi, I am going through all of my sites that I know of all (130 of them) and telling people that don't know or haven't heard yet to be against SOPA("Stop Online Piracy Act"). We only have until January 24th to make an approach before the votes are totaled up and the decision has been made. Many sites are going against this and we are very thankful to those that are doing so. Here is a link to those sites that are fighting against SOPA. This isn't just small names either. Sites like, Google, Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter are going against it. http://nlb-creations.com/2012/01/13/websites-confirmed-for-the-jan-18-blackout-protesting-sopa/ What is SOPA & What's The Big Deal? If you don't know anything about what SOPA is, please follow this link below and watch the video and if you feel like we feel, then put your number and zip in the information below and press, "Call My Representative". If this bill gets passed, you could just say goodbye to your freedom. This isn't all that is happening either people! There are more bills coming so that the government can control everything we do and what we say! So please, put a stop to this bill and the next one by playing your part and calling and voting no that you do not want this bill passed. http://www.wpforbusinesswebsites.com/ Thank you for your time. To the Website I posted it on: Please support this and blackout your website as well for today(18th) is the day all websites are going offline. I got this message at 4am this morning and ever since I been going to site to site posting this same message. Thank you if you will support the aid that we need.

If the big sites are against it. Shouldn't they do a blackout like Wikimedia did? It spreads a powerful message that way.

No, they still need to make money

Any site that makes money should not do this, the ones that do don't deserve anyone's respect

No, it will effect the world. A lot of sites that you visit are U.S. based.

From my understanding, it will do little to nothing to stop piracy. Even if the bill blocks people from searching foreign websites, they'll still be able to access them via URL.

There's already about 30601 threads on SOPA. Try using one of them.

I am 100% for the SOPA bill. We need more government regulations in our lives. China regulates their internet pretty intensively and people love China on this forum. Per this forum, they are 1000 x better than the US, so what's wrong with trying to be more like China?

[QUOTE="Jandurin"][QUOTE="cee1gee"]no its not easy...someone can offer you something and say its theirs but there is no proof and then u get in trouble because its copyrighted...it happens all the timecee1gee
I thought SOPA wasn't even passed yet! Are they already enforcing it?

Oh? Did the artist who made the song tell them it was okay or did they think that their friends wrote and produced the song before download?

They should just write an IOU and pay it later.

That's a very good law. Actually, you should get a life sentence just for listening to Michael Jackson. Maybe even the death penalty.

[QUOTE="cee1gee"] are you really all for this?Jandurin
... I can't believe you're asking me this. Of course I am. Not only will this reduce my internet cost, I won't have to buy a new computer every 3 months because of all the viruses.

@Jandurin

I'm guessing you're either a not-very-good-troll, or very ignorant about what's going on around you.

Hopefully, (and for anyone else who doesn't know yet what the implications are), having a look at the following will help:
