Meh, I can't say I try to take much notice of this clown anymore. He spews out what hardcore partisans want to hear.
Also, I might as well say what was on my mind. College students have their own ideologies different than your own, oh no Glenn! Who would've thought of intellectual diversity! The only one attempting to indoctrinate is this hypocritical pissant.

I wish I could ignore him but the truth is that there is there a sizable amount of people out there who take him seriously. And they vote.
Hm, I don't think I've been indoctrinated yet. Guess I have to wait till I become an undergrad? :?zakkro
Yeah, it usually happens in that time. It's painless though and you probably won't notice when it happens.

Not that many. The extreme movements have historically never gotten far. Barry Goldwater pandered to the far right and it didn't work at all.[QUOTE="T_P_O"]

I'm just glad he hasn't a considerable amount of influence in my electorate (foreigner here). Otherwise I'd probably feel exactly the same way.[QUOTE="T_P_O"]

Well, they say they vote, but typically white males between the ages of 18-34 are the least likely to vote out of almost any demographic, which is part of the reason why Fox has to contantly harp on this anger thing-if they just address the issues as they break then it's likely that by the time the election comes the demographic they're counting on will have lost interest.
[QUOTE="zakkro"]Hm, I don't think I've been indoctrinated yet. Guess I have to wait till I become an undergrad? :?Sajo7Yep, whenever Obama talks it activates the chip in our heads that makes us want turn America into a socialist dystopia. That's a bunch of I LOVE BIG BROTHER nonsense, Sajo7.

What happened to the republican party of those days though. It had some great people in it, like Nelson Rockefeller. More here.
Glenn Beck, I swear to God. Stop trolling America.Fudgycakesamen. he needs to get thrown off the air.

That's a good documentary BTW. IIRC, that was the last election where the delegates actually chose the nominee at the convention. As for the '64 election, i'd attribute Goldwater's loss more to his stance on Civil Rights and the fact that Johnson still had a lot of goodwill after only having been in office for a year than anything else.Landslide election for Johnson. It looked dead last I checked. :( It's pretty much dead, sadly. Not too surprising though, since we made it pretty much on a whim one night. :P

I find that second part pretty funny, because he's a self-proclaimed libertarian advocating government supression of a market.
EDIT: I also haven't seen any Democrats or Republicans at any level above the state government advocating for legalization.
Not much to contribute here except to mention that, sweet as the contrary might sound to anti-liberal pundits, the consensus seems to be that Lenin never used any form of the phrase "useful idiots".
