I am quite nervous for it because I don't what to expect. I am just wondering if any of you remember your first ever behind the wheel lesson. What you did or what happens. All insight would be appreciated.

A few details. Lesson in Minnesota-- First lesson-- 2 hours long

Just pay attention and listen to the instructor.....its very easy. You'll get the hang of it in no time. Try not to stress over it.

ya the instructors don't expect anything, so its no problem. But driving is pretty easy, once you've got the feel for the wheel.

I was nervous because it was a manual and not an automatic. but after few mintues you'll get used to it.

I was 14 years and 8 months old when I did my first drive at driver's ed. I wasn't tall enough to see over the dashboard. >______>

I took behind the wheel recently. in minnesota for 2 hours each lesson, too in fact. i took driver's ed and behind-the-wheel through my school. In my experience, my first behind-the-wheel consisted of getting used to the car and learning how to make right and left turns at intersections, when you should really stop at a stop sign, and the locations of various safety features in the car (VERY IMPORTANT). we also went through a couple of basics like adjusting mirrors and all that. Just remember one thing: relaxing is half the battle.

You'll be fine. Everyone usually gets the jitters before they get behind the wheel for real the first time. Just take it easy and you'll be surprised how easy it can be.

Behind the wheel was a bunch of bs. All you do is follow your instructor's directions while he/she engages in dull conversation with you for 2 hours.

Ah, a Minnesotan insight. Okay, so nothing major at all in the lesson, on the driving school website they said there would be the SMOG method for lane changes and stuff like that.... SIPDE
