I go for the middle ground. It's obviously important to have a job to keep you going. And outside of necessary house chores (among other things), that's where my care factor generally stops. I work to live, not live to work.
Im generally a hard worker. I wake up go football practice then school for two hours then the gym for two hours, then back to school. It's funny because all the while i'll be to lazy to look over my shoulder while driving on the highway.
It depends on the circumstances. I generally do very well in classes while being lazy (e.g., never do the readings). Therefore, I see no reason to work hard when it will only bring a marginally higher grade. On the other hand, for work and things important to me, I'll work very hard.
