Trump. Bernie is the one liberals have been going crazy about for a long time now, funny how they always pick a fav and brainwash people into wanting them in office.
You're basically asking "are you conservative or liberal". I can't imagine there's any debate between potential Trump or Sanders supporters - like, even if someone prefers Hillary over Sanders, I can't imagine any of them are going to choose TRUMP over Bernie if Hillary were to get the boot. He is so dramatically far away from what they were aiming for (Hillary). Likewise, I can't imagine a single Cruz fan who is going to say "oh well, Bernie time!" if Trump beat Cruz out. These things are too polar for 99.99% of the population.

There's a surprising amount of crossover. The rationale that I generally experience during these discussions is that they, "vote for the candidate, not the issues," and these two aren't part of the establishment.
Blows my mind every time.
@mattbbpl: I'll admit I haven't read any stats on the "crossover", but you mean to tell me there are people that free of investment in issues and policy to be on the fence between such polar opposites? I can see some "hmming" and "haawwing" over real centrists from the two parties.

I do, yes. I've spoken with more than a few personally (which isn't significant statistically, but I mention it because I find the rationale they gave me interesting).
@mattbbpl: sigh. And then we also have people telling others to vote against their conscience in the interest of winning - which begs the question: given that and the how many people are actually voting for personally chosen candidates based on the appeal of their policy and position on important issues, vs simply the "cut of their jib" or peer pressure or fear of losing?
@xantufrog: I'm actually skeptical that the majority of the people are familiar with the various positions and platforms. I'm even less skeptical that a majority understands how the policy proposals can affect them personally.
I think most people are aware of the platforms on a bumper sticker slogan level, so it's not that they never hear about them at all. I just think that digging into them and understanding them is something that they never take the effort or time to do. And let's admit it - this stuff is hard to get a grip on at first! It's daunting to start that process, so I understand why they don't although it is unfortunate.
I remember reading a NYT's article last week about how Democrats/Union "leaders" were worried that Trump might siphon a significant amount of union members proper votes away.
Here it is: Unions Lean Democratic, but Donald Trump Gets Members’ Attention
But Trump is garbage, just shooting from the hip.
An admitted socialist or a guy who has feuds with one of the few pro republican outlets?
I guess Trump.... still rather have Cruz or Hillary

I don't think so. Trump isn't just a conservative, he's a completely moron. And no, I'm not one to label conservatives morons. It seems perfectly reasonable to me for a conservative to rather have Sanders in office than Trump. Then again, Cruz isn't much better, just less dramatic. Some of what Trump says is so ridiculous that i'm still not sure that Trump is a legitimate candidate. He could turn out to be the biggest troll in history.
@Toxic-Seahorse: I wasn't trying to insinuate anything about conservatives or liberals, or even pass judgment on the candidates. Simply that I found it hard to believe there would be much cross-over given how polar opposite they are. For example, I'd be more likely to buy a conservative choosing Hilary over Trump than Sanders over Trump. There is a deep seeded disdain for Sanders amongst the conservatives I know - he's not seen as "just a Democrat" candidate but something far far more left. Likewise, I don't know any liberals who would choose Trump over Sanders because he isn't "just a Republican"
@brn-dn: lol, you think he acts like a leader? Being a total racist and a bigot is a sign of leadership these days? The world has gone utterly insane.
Oh btw a true leader doesn't whine and pull out of a debate because "the big bwad woman doesn't like me", and then acts like a child to whine about it, and other things on twitter like some sort of spoiled 13 year old brat.
Humanity is doomed if this is whats considered a leader.
@capri2s: How is he a racist? Wanting to deport illegal immigrants is not racist.
I bet that's really why you think he didn't go to the debate, huh? Donald Trump demands respect. Fox News sent out a press release disrespecting him, so he hit them where it hurts, right in their ratings by removing half their audience. Fox News could have had Trump at their debate but they weren't willing to give up a $5 million donation to help vets so instead Trump went ahead on his own and raised $6 million for them with the help of some of his friends and his generous supporters.
So yes, I do think he acts like a leader when he does a move like that. He wouldn't be a billionaire if he didn't have great leadership qualities.

He's a racist because he blatantly said all Mexicans are rapists and criminals, he wanted to ban all Muslims from coming into the USA, not just illegals but ALL. That's blatant racism. Discriminating an entire race of people based off of racist stereotypes and xenophobia is pretty much the literal definition of the damned word! If that isn't enough evidence then you are just as much a bigot as he is.
If he wants respect maybe he should earn it instead of acting like a complete, bigoted, sexist, racist lunatic with no experience in politics and not one single person in congress backing him up.
But its a waste of time trying to talk sense into a Trump supporter, we can all just hope people with actual brain cells will vote for someone not on the Republican side.

That's perhaps the dumbest shit I've read today, and I read an article about Sarah Palin.
Frankly, I would vote for Elizabeth Warren over any democrat.
If Rand Paul had run as a Democrat, he'd be your next president. The republican party and its constituency are just too pea-brained to understand the vast advantages of adopting non-interventionist foreign policy. Too much money changing hands for it to go over well with the party of derp.

No, he absolutely never said that all Mexicans are rapists and criminals.
Muslim isn't a race and it's a temporary ban.
He has earned it. Don't even get me started with how much of a sexist he ISN'T because that's the biggest lie of all. If anything he's a feminist because he treats men and women the same way.
It's still early for endorsements. Here's a list of his current endorsements:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_presidential_campaign,_2016#Endorsements
It's sad that you're so narrow minded and learn everything from your Facebook feed. Anyone with sense would be voting Republican because the country is crap. We don't need another Democrat to raise taxes on the middle class.
@brn-dn: If a feminist believed in equal rights for men and women, then they wouldnt be a feminist, they would be an equalist.
@brn-dn: If a feminist believed in equal rights for men and women, then they wouldnt be a feminist, they would be an equalist.
That's probably a better word to use since the word feminist has been destroyed by "feminists" that thinks the definition is women being superior to men.

lol, I'm going out on a limb and guessing you know ****-all about macroeconomics.
This dual-Bachelor's degree holder, with one of them being Finance, can tell you that the Democratic fiscal policies are more sound that those of the Republicans. You probably don't even understand Keynesian economic theory, let alone know what it is.
@bforrester420: No, I don't have a Bachelor's degree in Finance. Maybe you should show that you're educated on the topic by informing me instead of trying to use your education to insult someone. Please don't waste your time though because I don't care enough to learn about economics from a random guy on a forum about video games, I can just use the internet and read up on it myself.
@brn-dn: A good place to start, if you don't want to get into the dry topics like the dollar multiplier effect and such, is a comparison between Supply Side (Trickle-down, the theory Republicans typically subscribe) and Demand Side (Keynesian Theory) and decide for yourself.
Once I saw Bernie get run off by two fat black girls from "blacklivesmatter" at his own event I pretty much decided no way that weak puss needs to be our President.
It wasn't an event run by Bernie's group. It was a separate event celebrating the anniversary of Social Security & Medicare at which Bernie Sanders was the last of many people invited to speak. The people in charge of that event decided to not intervene with the Black Lives Matter folks, and so eventually Bernie went into the crowd to greet and talk with the people who had gathered there. Later that same day he held his own event speaking to 15,000 people.
@Lord_Daemon: So because it wasn't his event it's okay that he let two women interrupt him and take over the stage? This is the guy that's going to try and defeat ISIS but how can he do that if he's too afraid of looking like a sexist? He's afraid to attack Hillary Clinton because she will just call him a sexist again. He's so weak, he is not a leader whatsoever.
A more interesting poll might be, who would you vote for, Francis Underwood or Donald Trump?
Francis Underwood in a heartbeat, he knows how to get the job done.
Neither is capable of getting anything done without congress, therefore I select Trump on the basis of sheer entertainment value.
It is worth noting that you can say anything you want when you aren't in power and nothing you have said matters once you are in power. What matters then is your ability to get hundreds of people to agree, which is rare by definition.

Well, Bernie only has his own political party and its most dedicated supporters to blame if he feels like a sexist or a racist. They are the ones who tend to be pushing feminism and blacklivesmatter to the point that, hell, I guess all of us straight white males are supposed to feel like we're the bad guys responsible for all of the problems in the world. Oh yeah, there's also the LBGT community aiding in that. And Hollywood, those hypocrites. They're the very same ones who push for Bernie, kinda funny lol.
Anyway, I'd say ISIS probably won't be so difficult to take care of once America gets a backbone about eradicating the problem. Just gotta drop some damn nukes, headshot a few bitches and then get strict back home with Internet security and homeland security so those assholes don't keep breeding on our soil and biting the hand that feeds.
Then I wouldn't even give two fucks about what goes on in the Middle East, and focus on making America a better place.
I'm not going to sit here and say all the reasons you should vote for X or Y.
I am just going to say two things:
1. Don't vote for Trump. Period. I mean, why would you? If you answer "because I don't want the other guy to win", then you should not vote. You are toxic, poisonous, and the worst kind of person if you vote against someone as opposed to for someone.
2. Ask yourself, in the past 16 (or 32, or whatever) years, who has done more damage to this country (and the world)? Who has your best interests in mind? Who wants to make progress, to move the US forward not solely as an international power, but as an international leader. Who wants to improve the quality of life for people at home?
