Funker vogt - aviator
The best album of the year is the soundtrack to the Bob Dylan biopic, I'm Not There by various artists.
it's are to evaluate a cover album against others so my top picks of the year so far are (the actual ordering can easily vary):
Strawberry Jam.MoonSpoonThere is something about that album that I just don't like... I love what Animal Collective does but after Person Pitch, I had such high expectations that it just didn't meet them. For Reverend Green is awesome but other than that, I just didn't dig it. :( I tried listening again today and it was better than my original impression I got from my first listen through it.
The BlackeningBig_Bad_Sad
Frostbyte1120
o hold up,this changes everything.
1. dinosaur jr ▶ beyond
2. radiohead ▶ in rainbows
3. explosions in the sky ▶ all of the sudden i miss everyone

Person Pitch was a solo album by Panda Bear.
But you are right, it definitely isn't Animal Collective's strongest album.
