If you play PC games very much Kaspersky is a hassle, glad I only paid for one year :P

The Anti-Virus Kaspersky has no effect on my system during gaming, are you talking about the Internet Security version? That one has Firewall, and other features.

Kaspersky would be perfect if it didn't cost so much more than its competition. You can probably get it bundled with some other package though.

NOD32 is just as good as Kaspersky. Apparently customer service sucks but I never needed to use it.

I'm trailing Ashampoo at the moment. I probably wouldn't bother subscribing.

Yeah I have Internet Security. I can't just select a program like I did in ZoneAlarm and tell it to not block anything this program does, so for Steam every time I do anything to it it pops up with new problems. Also, it starts the anti-virus whenever it feels like draining my resources and making my FPS go way down.

I like ZoneAlarm much better so far, I used that before I bought Kaspersky. Although when my year of Kaspersky goes up, I think I'm going to try some free anti-virus/firewall as I've had no attempts on my computer for so long anyway.

Statistically, ESET NOD32 is the best antivirus you can buy. In fact, it updates multiple times a day. Also, it has extremely efficient in terms of how it handles itself as a background process. You will barely notice you have an anti-virus running, considering how little resources it uses.

I was a hard core Zone Alarm user for ages, but when they got bought out I moved on. If you want top notch Virus protection use Kaspersky, if you want a top notch firewall I used to use Black Ice, but that is done:(

I'm starting to think that viruses only infect stupid/ignorant computer users. What do you think? I bet you haven't had any attempts in a while either.

I use McAfee Firewall/Virus protection. I have used it for 3 years and never had virus problems. I download stuff on limewire and IRC packets and torrents too, no virus's. Also, whenever someone trys to give me a virus or w/e It always pops up right away saying that It has gotten rid of it. Not the best probably but it certainly gets the job done.

Anti-virus - Common Sense v9.2

I run Spybot every now and then..but that's about it.
