I'm not looking for a huge professional editor, its just that I like mixing tracks with beats for fun. Can anyone recommend me a good home use audio editor that can separate layers and etc. money is not an object because mr. demonoid is my friend :)

I use Audacity to record songs off Pandora.com. It's free and looks like it has some stuff you're looking for, but I'm not technical enough to use them so I really couldn't tell you. Its free though, and I like it.

Audacity is free, although WaveLab is the best but I heard it cost 700+ dollars. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ http://www.steinberg.net/Category_sb0a02-1.html
