I have been a music enthusiast for about 3 years now. I have searched far and wide to find the best bands out there. My life is devoted to music, I probably listen to more music then the rest of the world combined (slight exageration). I highly recommend that everyone should listen to the following bands that I have found to be the best (not my current favorites, but the most appealing in general, and the most skilled)

1. Modest Mouse

2. Radiohead

3. Iron & Wine

4. Pinback

5. The Depeche Mode

6. The New Pornographers

7. Ugly Casanova

8. Born Ruffians

9. MGMT

10. Neutral Milk Hotel

I'm really beginning to think RadioHead is overrated. I like them and have a few songs from them, but wtf: why do people find them so amazing?

yes i love radiohead,i should have put them in that list. and technology does not make for good music. makes for more fake music. beatles music 50 years later still better then most of the crap coming out. and still relevent.

thats just a stubborn mindset... if you actaully looked into todays music... there is a ton of awesome stuff coming out... it takes A LOT in todays music industry to make it big... and the beatles were fairly raw and unispired... everything to be desired in there music can be heard in the first listen... I listened to nearly all their songs once... and I don't need to hear them again.. they are so simple..

I think both of your lists are trash. Why? Because you refer to yourselves as "music enthusiasts".

I'm a breathing enthusiast, by the way.
