Well I yesterday I created a "Worst Book" thread. I recieved great responses and I decided to make a this thread. So well IMO Christine by stephen king is great. But I am kind of mad at him because he hasn't written manybooks these days.

You can't forget classics like Homer's Odyssey and the Iliad and Shakespeare of course. Something more contemporary would be Fear and Loathing. Does anyone know a good site for book reviews?

harry potter is an okay simple fantasy series, but best book ever:lol: I think the best book ever along the lines of LOTR ( but better:D) is a song of ice and fire by George R R Martin.

Perhaps it's the deep plot with so many twists and turns that you'd never guess the ending at all and the complex character development.... /sarcasm.

That IS a rather tuff one to answer, you should have favorites like Homer, Shakespeare, etc...then you have classics, like Wolf, DeFoe, Dicksons etc...then you have modern writers, Tolkien, King, Rowling etc.

so its hard to pick just one.

Rowling is not a very good writer, why do you even put her in the same league as the other writers. Her book are popular sure but her writing is very simplistic and nowhere near as good as many others today.

 I'm more than half-Scottish myself, and have been to Glasgow many times, so no, the accents were fine. I just didn't enjoy the dark undertones. It just wasn't...pleasant to watch. Not saying it has to be, there are other, more violent movies I like, but this just didn't work for me.

But she wasn't really evil was she? It's been a while, but she was the main characters brother, no?
