Ok so i just had my first day of school and i loved it, especially since i got to use my moms car (nice ol' shiny honda pilot) and i loved the fact that since i have to get up early and i get out early (6:15-11:55) i have a lot of freedom after school to do whatever i want. the CRAP part is that i will only get the car once more this week and i REALLY hate taking our public bus system (it SUCKS ***) and i just decided that i want a car. now.

i have $1000 in my bank account right now, and my parents said they would match whatever i payed, so thats 2 grand that i have to spend willy-nilly on a car, so does anyone have any good suggestions on what kinda good used car i could get for $2000?

Look around on Craigslist.com for some good deals.

Maybe look for a nice 90s 4Runner. Those things last a good while.

IN MY OPINION, I would stay away from any Kias or Hyundais. I have had bad experiences with those cars.

just buy the cheapest car you can find, then get a new car ( get a 6 year lease or something so its cheap) and get that $4500 from cash for clunkers, extremely worth it, jst find a garbage car for 200 dollars or so .

A Toyota Hilux.

Seriously though, go with a Subaru.

This, a good mid 90's civic will run you around $5000 - $7000. You are best off getting a good ole American clunker, and riding it out until it dies. A mid to late 90s GM car will cost around $2000, and will last you 1 to 2 years. By then you can get a newer car.

Get an old Camaro. They're still pretty cool and dirt cheap.

I'm in the same boat as you! School starts next week and I still need to find a car around the 2000-2500 dollar area.
