Bowling For Soup's cover of Summer of '69 (by Bryan Adams)
[QUOTE="honkyjoe"]All Along The Watch Tower By Jimi Hendrix is a great cover of the song by Bob Dylan.5-0
Agreed. All of Rage Against The Machine's covers are good. And I think Paramore's cover of My Hero completely ruined it in my opinion.
Well, their cover of Street Fighting Man was pretty bad, but overall yeah they did a good job.
Johnny Cash - Hurt (Originally Nine Inch Nails)
Led Zeppelin - When The Levee Breaks (Originally... damn... I forget)
Jimi Hendrix- All Along the Watchtower (Originally Bob Dylan)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Higher Ground (Originally Stevie Wonder)
Foy Vance - Crosstown Traffic (Originally Jimi Hendrix)
As for the last one, check him out, he's awesome.
Fightstar's version of She Drove Me To Daytime Television (Funeral For A Friend)SolidSnake35i was sadly expecting you to say FOB's cover of beat it :(
[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"]Fightstar's version of She Drove Me To Daytime Television (Funeral For A Friend)Serial-No_3404i was sadly expecting you to say FOB's cover of beat it :( They did their best, but it was just a bad song to begin with. If I had to pick a cover of theirs it would be Roxanne... or Mr Brightside, but they never did a studio recording of the latter.
Hell no Slayer have got a decent cover of Dissident Aggressor, by Judas Priest. Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt. Possibly better than the original.Fall Out Boys cover of Walk. ;)

Rolf Harris - Stairway to HeavenKG86I have no idea what kind of cover that was supposed to be. It still made me want to kill the singer.

The Jonas Brothers covers. They're so talented, not to mention cute.
Seriously though, I like the Guns N Roses cover of Knocking on Heaven's Door.
Well, not may be the best, but one of the most creative (and funny) cover out there is:
Devo- Are you experienced? (Hendrix Cover)

Guns N'Roses- Knockin on Heaven's Door (Bob Dylan)
Rage Against the Machine- How I Could Just Kill a Man (Cypress Hill)
Ragest Against the Machine- Anything else that was covered on the Renegades album (which the whole album is)
Trivium- Master of Puppets (Metallica)
Shadows Fall- Welcome to the Machine (Pink Floyd)

A bad song to begin with:| Sorry no Michael Jackson is awesome. Also Roxanne is originally by Toto, no cover of a Toto song will ever be as good as the original because Toto is made of pure win.
Van Halen's cover of "You Really Got Me"
Blind Guardian's cover of "Mr. Sandman" (also quite possibly the awesomest music video ever)
Nirvana's cover of The Man Who Sold the World is better than Bowie's.Travo_basic
No, just no. Kurt Cobain was, in almost every, inferior the David Bowie.
As for covers, I'd say:
Metallica's Whiskey in the Jar cover, Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt, and Queens of the Stone Age's cover of White Wedding.
