Best excuse to get out of an event?

Well I have an event that I have to go to and its on friday from 7-10. Problem is that their is a party that I want to go to as well and I already use a few excues. So whats the best excuse that could get me out of going to the event?. (Other than someone died or in hostpial :P)

Car crash

Family crisis
