Best fantasy book?

I liked the wheel of time - but I only got about 4 books in - I tried getting back into it and forgot alot of the characters' namesnightshade85

dont bother reading all the wheel of time books, after number 8 they got terrible. The wheel of time series started out great, 
then it had to add dumb melodrama and bad love plots.

Yeah, I liked His Dark Materials trilogy... although I only read the first one :P

I'd have to say the Bible jk

LoTR for me, I'm not really into fantasy 

I'll choose The Dark Tower, even though the quality dropped off in the last few books.

I had thought about starting the series again - I am not a big fan of melodrama or romance - there were subtle romantic sub-plots if I remember right in the first couple books - I might reconsider

books 1-6 were great, then teh crappy love plots and melodrama started, it all goes downhill from there. hes on the 11th book
and the series is still not done!

I read that one - song of fire and ice.  But a long, long time ago.

I like The Xanth Series.ReapX

Wow. I had completely forgotten about that series! I need to get back into that one.
