I personally love Sweet Child of Mine , Slash plays a great solo there !
Another one , Metallica's One , fastest solo i've ever listened but i think Sweet Child of Mine is better ..

Sweet Child O Mine solo is better than One solos and I'll leave it at that because saying it's the best ever would be a never ending debate

I dont think this is a blog post though, hes asked a legit question:PTry reading again, he never asked a question. He just made a random statement. It would be like if I made a thread about how I like brown tables or something.I'll just leave this here. Darth-CaedusAlthough that was good, i fail to see how that was amazing.
I think how good a solo is has changed in this generation, its less from whats in the heart and soul and more about hitting random notes fast and it sounding cool. As much as I dislike GnR's Sweet Child O Mine does have a great solo. Another fantastic solo would be Smashing Pumpkins Geek USA (actually voted one of the best solo's of all time) Fantastic and full of energy, same with the drumming of that song.

Yea, people do say crazy things sometimes :P[QUOTE="mexicangordo"]Although that was good, i fail to see how that was amazing.Huh?...Opps, linkage phail:P This is what I ment to link to:P I can't believe I am going to say this, but i was surprised how good that was. Its weird to listen to modern Metal and it actually having structure, form, and emotion put into it rather than a bunch of guys making noise. I hate metal for that purpose of seeing the lack of connection it has to the listener, aside from that, many many metal bands i have listen to are cold and overly dramatic. One could say that, that is the "art" of the metal genre but there should always be some sort of structure so that it doesn't sound so crazy and out of place, especially the drumming and guitar solo's (which imo are horrible most of the time)[QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"]I'll just leave this here *Edit*. Any who, that was great, I am actually going to give them a good listen, i was impressed with that. :)

Yea same here, I didnt turn DM down, I gave it a good try, listened to a huge selection of bands and I still never understood the appeal of it. Perhaps the anger it sometimes trys to generate? It would make sense since it does bring a form of insanity and crazyness but even so, it doesn't carry that well (imo of course)Huh?...Opps, linkage phail:P This is what I ment to link to:P I can't believe I am going to say this, but i was surprised how good that was. Nevermore and Iced Earth, as well as many others, are very, very capable of producing highly emotional music, the former due to its amazing combination of Warrel Dane and Jeff Loomis, and the latter because of Schaffer and Barlow.I'm slowly opening to death metal. Obviously I can't speak for you guys but for me I just have to force myself to listen to it and slowly the things I disliked about it turn into positives.

For Nevermore I would recomend either Dead Heart In A Dead World or Dreaming Neon Black for you, leaning more to Dead Heart.Bah! Or simply Something Wicked This Way comes, sans the "part" business. It has some very powerful songs on it-Melancholy (Holy Martyr), Burning Times, Blessed Are You, Watching Over Me, etc.For Nevermore I would recomend either Dead Heart In A Dead World or Dreaming Neon Black for you, leaning more to Dead Heart.[QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"]
