A song that's one long guitar solo still contains a guitar solo, doesn't it? :P
I guess your're right, this is the first time i've ever been wrong:cry:yes it does 8)[QUOTE="10thwonder"]
Does the theme song from Power Rangers count? :P

Nice. I used to love the intro.
Pearl Jam - Alive. Had a great one.MoonMarvelThat was great! I also love George Harrison, John Lennon, and Paul McCartney's solos in The End.
I agree with lots of posts above, but to add something else, I highly enjoy these solos
Buckethead - Jordan (solo is mindblowing), Soothsayer , Too many Humans
Deep Purple - Highway Star, Child in Time
Dire Straits - Sultains of Swing
Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan, War Pigs, Die Young and Dirty Women
Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan, War Pigs, Die Young

I always loved the guitar playing in Die Young. Planet Caravan doesn't have a particularly fast solo, but it sounds amazing nevertheless. War Pigs is War Pigs, nothing more needs be said about it. :P

Excellent choice, Gabu.
I would also consider the lead solos in their songs "Time" or "Money". The Dark Side of the Moon album is a huge seller.
Yup, this guy's playing is really something else, although I don't expect a lot of people to comprehend his playing.Anything Allan Holdsworth does is on another dimension.

Not really my favorite style...sounds a little too clinical for my tastes...but Paul Gilbert's skills have always impressed me: 1987 with Racer X.
Any solo by Jeff Loomis, Jari Maenpaa, or Muhammed Suicmez.Darth-Caedus
Fermented Offal Discharge
Man is a beast.
Also, Tender Surrender by Steve Vai

Isn't Eruption just a warm up?
Anyway for me, probabaly Paradise city- Guns n Roses. I would say that there are better solos out there but this one always comes to mind first.

Yeah it's just a warm-up. Have you heard the actual songs?I have heard a few Van Helen songs but I have never been a huge fan though that's not to say that Eddie is not an amazing guitarist.

Yeah, he's pretty amazing.Anything by Kirk Hammet from Metallica, dude is a guitar master.Dantheman102100All his solos on Death Magnetic are terrible in my opinion. And most of his material from the 90s wasn't anything great either. My favorite solos that come to mind are Tornado of Souls by Megadeth and No One Like You by The Scorpions. Honorable mention to As I Am by Dream Theater just because it's so intense.
Tornado of Souls
Or anything by Joe Satriani, Steve vai, Paul Gilbert, Jason Becker,or John Petrucci.
I loved Jeff Loomis's solo album as well.
