Do you think that any member of Metallica is the best at all the things they do?
Oh well, here is to be a hypocrite after I have named Nine Inch Nails live members for all my choices...
Robin Finck is technically excellent... aaaaaaaaand super cool so he gets my vote...
I still await vocalist and keyboards...

Kirk Hammet is the real deal. Did you watch the entire solo? It's 10X better than anything Hendrix could come up with. Hendrix has really good skill, so don't say Im bashing him.Vilot_Hero
I have seen and played the solo. Fun, but not that amazing.
Nothing compares to Jimi Hendrix and how he revolutionized the guitar and made it a necessity to a band, even made the guitar the most important instrument. without him, music would have a totally different sound. At least, that is what the guy for Rolling Stones said :P

The guy from Rolling Stones is mistaken. Kirk is the metal god...Not even Iron Maiden could play Kirks solo's.Michael Romeo He makes everyone else fail.Bloodbath_87I don't think you watched the solo. Kirk is too good, and Master of Puppets is the best music ever made.

Are you serious? Pretty much any professional guitar player can play songs competently, this means they can follow a tbs sheet or whatever...

... but Finck still is cooler...
Just because he wears shades:| Kirk has his own custom gear.[QUOTE="Bloodbath_87"]Michael Romeo He makes everyone else fail.Vilot_HeroI don't think you watched the solo. Kirk is too good, and Master of Puppets is the best music ever made. Watch this video. You can hear Kirk failing, even though they don't show him.

I always brought proof to the table, when I get into arguments.

I would say the best guitarist of all time would have to be Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhoads or Eric Clapton

theres a lot better than any of those... steve vai, angus young, joe satriani, carlos santana, hendrix, randy rhoads, adrian smith, dave mustaine... and it just goes on and on
Master Of Puppets is proof enough that Kirk is the best guitarist.Vilot_Hero
1 song isnt enough tio prove hes the best...
[QUOTE="Vilot_Hero"]Master Of Puppets is proof enough that Kirk is the best guitarist.airg6Master of Puppets is one of my favorite songs of all time, but Kirk is not the best. He's even very sloppy at times. Randy Rhoads could play circles around Kirk. R.I.P. Randy.
btw, i forgot one, and may him RIP, dimebag darrel

Ok, I guess they had someone else playing with them. :| Maybe you should watch this video then. You can clearly see him failing to play his own song.
