Even if they don't scare you, just post the best to you. I command it.

1. Wobbly ghost- Kairo

Those who have seen this film will know what I mean. I cant describe how creepy this scene is, just watch it here.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEYRVYdNZ1Q

My god the first time I saw that it freaked me out. There is something very disturbing about it.

2. Empty london- 28 days later

I am from london and I have only seen it vaguely empty when I woke up at about 5:00 to go to the airport and saw the streets mostly empty. That was weird and it made me think of 28 days later.

3. Spider head- The Thing

The Blood test scene is another good one.

4. Ending- In the mouth of madness

I love this ending. One of john carpenter's most underrated films.

5. Audrey alone in the dark- Wait until dark

6. Wheelchair at the top of the stairs, death flashback, seance, and ball- The Changeling

A classic haunted house film.

7. Ending- Session 9

"I live in the weak and the wounded."

8. Eye impaling- Zombie

I hate scenes with eyes, this one almost made me feel sick.

9. Frank comes home- Blue Velvet

10. Transformation- Altered states

11. Hip to be square- American Psycho

More of a comedy than a horror, but still a great scene.

12. Werewolf transformation- An American werewolf in london

13. Torture with piano wire, syringes, and needles.- Audition

The piano wire scene is the hardest to watch.

14. Fetus licking- The brood

Ewww.

15. The ending- The Fly

Disturbing and heartbreaking too. Probably David Cronenberg's best film next to Dead Ringers. One of the saddest films I have ever seen

16. Bees!- Candyman

I hate bees.

17. Lawnmower!- Dead Alive

18. Samuel L. Jackson meets shark- Deep blue sea

Crap film, but I loved this scene.

19. ending- The Wicker man

The crap remake kinda ruined the name of this film, but the original is worth seeing.

20. The pyre burning- The Devils

21. Ending- Spoorloos

One of the best film endings ever.

22. The Dwarf- Don't look now

23. Surprise decapitation- Exorcist 3

24. Jesus wept- Hellraiser

25. Birthday party- Man Bites dog

26. Man's head on dog- Invasion of the body snatchers

What the hell?

27. Is it safe?- Marathon man

This is why I hate dentists.

28. Bar attack- Near Dark

29. Pleasure island donkeys- Pinocchio

Jesus christ disney.

30. The general's final attack- Watership down

31. Giving head a new meaning- Re- Animator

Again eww.

32. Head exploding- Scanners

33. Buried alive- Serpent and the rainbow

34. Night vision stalker- Silence of the lambs

35. Body merging- Society

Once again eww. This movie has cannibalism, and death by anal fisting

36. First murder- Suspiria

37. Suicide- The Tenant

38. Feeding a man his own poodles- Theater of blood

I love vincent price

39. Lips on TV, and Long live the new flesh- Videodrome

40. Sucked into a sink- The Blob

How could I forget the pool scene? Even though it doesnt really make sense why his hand was still holding Oskar's head underwater considering what was happenning I could forgive it since the scene was so awesome. The scene in the Orphanage with the psychic walking around and hearing the kid's voices was really creepy too.

The blood testing scene and the ending of The Thing. Most of the scary scenes from Event Horizon.

I don't know if you mentioned it, but the John Hurt chestbuster scene from Alien.

I think what made that scene for me was just that it somehow felt authentic. It wasn't a nice clean gore shot from a movie, and it wasn't a throwaway gore scene. It was ugly, it was awkward, and it was painful. Everyone in the scene truly seemed shocked, it truly seemed like it was painful as hell, and it just sort of came out of nowhere, and was sudden and brutal.

It just felt...authentic. Believeable. Much more so than any chestbursting scene in Aliens, Alien 3, or Alien Resurrection.

That scene rocked.

Memorable one is the bath scene in Nightmare on Elm Street, also the dream scene where he's stalking her.

I liked how it happened when they were all eating food after thinking he would be okay. The film tricked you into thinking he would be fine, then the crazyness began. John hurt is a great actor too, one of the best around. I actually met him once too, he lives near my dad in England. I hated how the later alien films overused the chestburster. I liked how it was used in the ending of Alien 3, but Alien vs Predator 2 just made it way too over the top.

Yes and I forgot the bed scene from the first movie. New Nightmare and original are easily the best (cause Wes Craven touched them) and speaking of Craven, he had a few good scenes in Scream too, like the ending, the phone voice, the start, just a good movie.

i really like the scene in the original nosferatu where count orlock is climbing the stairs and all you see is his shadow seemingly hovering along like a ghost. there are lots eerie shots of him throughout the movie, but thats the one that sticks with me the most.

Marathon man may not be a horror fiick, but that scene sure felt like a horror scene. I could barely watch it.

The Hospital scene in The Eye.
