as far as the rock genre goes id have to say CHRIS CORNELL or ROB THOMAS from matchbox 20...again crispness and voice quality and range

I'm fond of Rob Halford, though, for a singer who is actually good (rather than one who simply fits a vocal archetype of which I am somewhat fond), I would have to say that whoever the lead singer in The Who is one of the best.
