Gotta be LOTR
Pirate was good but not as good.
Im not a Spiderman fan tbh
Only seen star wars episode 2 (i plan on watching them all though)
Havent seen any Bourne films (going to though)
First two Star Wars sucked, LoTR kind of dragged on a little bit, Spider-Man 3 was a let-down, and Pirates 2nd movie wasn't very good.
That being said Bourne definitely blows the crap out of all of them. Each one is a finely tuned, raw action movie done how it should be, and with a great story.
LOTR: One of the greastest series of all time, both literary and cinematic.
Pirate of the Carribean: Fantastic movies, but lacks the history of LOTR.
Spiderman: WAY to many people were crying in the 3rd movie, it was uber emo.
Star Wars: Cult classic, everybody loves them, but outdated.
Bourne: Why is this even an option? A weak movie with a shallow plot. If you like watching people shooting and blowing crap up for 2 hours then okay, but how can it be compared to any of the above?
LoTR. Why do people keep saying Matrix? The first was great, but it nosedives from there.

Counter-arguement: No it doesn't.
No Indiana Jones? Booooo...
I chose starwars, assuming you meant IV to VI, not I-III
flipin_jackass
IV to VI weren't made during modern cinema.
Well maybe VI was,

Oops, I overlooked that 'modern' part.
Ill go with Bourne then. Too bad I cant take my vote back :x[QUOTE="flipin_jackass"]They're making another one. It's not a trilogyNo Indiana Jones? Booooo...

Yea, but you could say the same with StarWars (there are 6 in total) , LotR (Hobbit) and possibly Bourne.
Spiderman sucks, Bourne is awesome but they're may be a fourth, star wars had more than three, LoTR is great (that's what I voted for), and Pirates of the Caribbean suckso_sausagestar wars has two trilogies. the godly original trilogy, and the crappy prequel trilogy. they need to make another trilogy. then star wars will be the only trilogy of trilogies.

Well i think its safe to say 24 will beat it to the punch.

what? 24 is a tv show that already has way more than 9 episodes. How can anyone possibly like the 2nd and 3rd matrix movies. They were HORRENDOUSLY cliche. I've never been more disappointed with sequels than I was with those. Thank you to the creator of this topic for not putting the matrix on the list.
My vote goes to none of these movies, because while I did enjoy watching them to some degree, none of them stick with me.
I didn't like Lord of the Rings. Did that story really need to be stretched out over three three-hour long movies? The other options weren't that good either. I haven't seen any movies in the Bourne series, though.Conanfan1
The story wasn't stretched at all. The story was heavily condensed, cutting out a lot of material.

what? 24 is a tv show that already has way more than 9 episodes.Whose talking about episodes?
24 has a trilogy of Seasons (or Days) with storylines that tie through. As in Season 1-3 had a storyline, then everything was revamped in season 4 which continued onto 6 and now they are about to start their new trilogy of seasons.
Anyway if you are talking just about films that have 8 or more sequels there are hundreds of them.
The Matrix. Wachowski Brothers FTW. Hidden meaning FTW. Latex clothes FTW.
From the list, maybe Bourne. It had amazing action scenes. But that's it. The story wasn't very atractive.
Let's see...
-I never read LOTR, and watching the films gave me no reason to go out and do so (thumbs down)
-The first Pirates movie was good, but the two sequels were horrid beyond belief (thumbs down)
-The Spider-man films were all different shades of mediocre (thumbs down)
-Now I'm going to assume that Star wars is the prequel trilogy; in which case, do I even have to explain my opinion? (thumbs down)
-I haven't actually seen any of the Bourne films, but I heart they're great... (speculative thumbs up)
From the choices listed, the best choice by default is the Bourne trilogy.
Got to go with Bourne. All three were really good.
Spider-Man = cheesy, corny, silly dialog; part 1 worst of the 3
LOTR = part 1 was cheesy, awful, and the theater cleared before the end; part 2 was better but still cheesy and boring; part 3 was great
Star Wars = all 3 were terrible especially AOTC; CG characters were overly and poorly done
Pirates = decent films and were entertaining
