I thought you would say "Let the right one in" :P Or slip it in there somehow....
But i agree This is England is fantastic movie, but i like American History X way more. Although AHX was more personal (and a little vague in some points) the acting was superb.
I agree with This is England. The ending of that movie was much more excruciating than the ending in AHX. Great acting.DeeJayInphinity
The guy who played the skinhead gang leader, I think his name is Stephen Graham, was incredible. Thomas Turngoose, the little kid, was great too. The ending was really sad, that character Milky I think his name was and what happens to him:cry:

I know. The acting made it look so real. You could literally see Combo's emotions start to boil when he was talking to Milky.I'll go with To Kill A Mocking Bird, if that counts, since it is the only thing I know.
Either way, going Atticus Finch on dogs=winner. >_>.

The director of This is England Shane Meadows is one of my favorites, he did another great film called Dead Man's shoes. I suggest you check it out.
why?[QUOTE="sAndroid17"][QUOTE="stupid4"]Movies about racism blow. stupid4
Because they try to be intellcutual, but they fail miserably at it.
Romper Stomper doesn't and that movie is just great. and american history x, does a bit. but is good to.I am disturbed by the lack of Blazing Saddles.Suddenstriker52hahahahaha i forgot about that, i change my vote :P
The best movie about racism is Birth of a Nation. *insert shifty eyes*
In all seriousness, I'd have to say my favorite is Blazing Saddles.
why?[QUOTE="sAndroid17"][QUOTE="stupid4"]Movies about racism blow. dmc333
They are politcal. Everything political is bad. Why? Because it has an agenda. And they usually tell a one sided story, perpetuating stereotypes on race....
like i said, Romper Stomper isn'twhy?[QUOTE="sAndroid17"][QUOTE="stupid4"]Movies about racism blow. dmc333

Most movies have an agenda. I don't think most people realize that movies are not only made for money but can also be a median for political and socialagendas. It's not just political and racial movies.[QUOTE="dmc333"][QUOTE="sAndroid17"] why?Correyov31

But that's like not talking to people b/c they have agendas too. You just have to have a mind of your own. Not a insult towards you, just in general.

I don't.
Um, Crash? (indirectly) Ray? I don't think I've seen many movies about racism. :Pblack_cat19
I hate to say it, but Crash was severely overrated, and actually, imo, was not that good.
Imo, the best movie about racism is Mississippi Burning, followed by To Kill a Mockingbird.
Malcolm X, Talk to Me, Higher LearningCorreyov31
Higher Learning was definitely about racism, but unfortunately it sucked.
I just bought it not long ago, because I remember really liking it. And disappointingly, it's really sort of a crappy movie. It had its high points, but unfortunately I've gotta say that it sucks, even though I think that it's good that it tries to send a good message.
Maybe it WAS once good. But some movies just plain don't age well, and Higher Learning may have been one of them. Maybe THAT'S why I now think that it sucks.
