Hmm, I suppose Resident Evil 1 and 2 are the best that I've seen. Not the best, but they were pretty decent in my opinion. Haven't seen any of the other ones beyond that.
I liked FF: Spirits within (although it would have been better if it wasn't CG). And although nearly everyone thinks it sucked, I actually liked Silent Hill pretty much. (especially the ending), it probably would have been better if it was directed by David Lynch.

Yeah, I think Spirits Within has recieved a bit more hate than it's due, and I did enjoy it. It's just that FFVII has so much nostalgia for me, and seeing the characters in high detail for the first time was just plain... AWESOME!!! 8)
Well Takashi Miike's "Ryu Ga Gotoku" (AKA the Yakuza series) was pretty darned entertaining. I also really liked Silent Hill and found the Resident Evil movies to be pretty fun guilty pleasures except for the last one.
Though it was HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY inaccurate..*sigh* I guess I'd have to reluctantly go with the Silent Hill movie...although I did like the first Mortal Kombat movie a lot.

Mortal Kombat was awesome back in the day. The first one at least still holds up in recent times in my opinion. Cheesy, but not the abortion that the second film was.
