Best movie sequel?

(has nothing to do with me recently rewatching the entire series again)

can't decide between Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Dark Knight , .... both were amazing

Superman II for me. One of my fave movies ever. That movie had great cultural significance. Zod is BOSS in that movie. It also built on most of the major plot points in the original. It would have built on all the major plot points if R. Donner finished it.

On the list for me would be Star Wars, but Blade 2 would be a very close second. Shame Trinity was so dire.

Godfather son.

It's between Godfather Part 2 and Empire Strikes Back....

Godfather Part 2 gets my vote in a close one. As much as I liked Aliens I liked it better as Horror.

Terminator 2 and Winter Soldier get a shout out as well. If the requirement was IMPROVEMENT over the original, Winter Soldier would get my vote in this poll.

But The Godfather Part 2 is the best movie on the list.

• I don't see The Silence of the Lambs as a sequel to Manhunter.
• I hated Aliens.
• I consider Michael's story in the The Godfather: Part 2 to probably be the greatest piece of cinema I have ever seen. Too bad I have sit through those Vito's scenes (that's right, I said it) [They aren't bad, but I just find Michael's story just that much more compelling and engrossing]. Which is why I wish to find a cut of the TV version of the movie in which they present the whole Vito story at the beginning, then Part I and then Michael's part in whole. No luck so far.

For me, probably between Part II and The Dark Knight.

Honorable mentions for Toy Story 2, Empire and Terminator 2.

Gotta mention Rocky II, Home Alone 2 and Rambo 2!
