Jack Black is consistently good. "The Pick of Destiny," which actually built around his music, was far from a solid film, but the rest of his work has been good; he stole scenes in "High Fidelity."
Eminem was good in "8 Mile" too, although I don't know how well he'd do playing someone other than himself.

Wrong. DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince have been around since the late 80's. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air didn't start until 1990 and the name of the show is based on the "Fresh Prince" character of the music group.

Not at all He's The DJ I'm the Rapper came out in 1988 before he had acted. He then started acting with Fresh Prince of Bel Air. And I put Will Smith and Ice Cube on that list.
Jared Leto...30 Seconds to Mar's first CD was quite creative and odd (which is a good thing). And the man can actually act. Requiem for a Dream was disturbingly good.
