No, The Lives of Others did.Â
And yes, The Departed was my 3rd favorite of the year (2nd being Pan's Labyrinth, 1st being Children of Men), and it deserves this. Personally I think Children of Men should have been nominated over Babel (which was alright but not amazing). Anyway congrats to Marty and The Departed...it's an incredibly awesome movie. Â

I thought Children of Men could have been better, the story was good, but i hated how they ended the movie. And Pans Labyrinth is overrated , IMO

No, he's not kidding you, he's having his opinion. Besides, I agree with him...the definate most overrated flick of 2006 imo.

i haven't seen it yet, but i want to. out of the ones i've seen, little miss sunshine was the best, but i wouldn't be surprised if the departed is better. united 93 should have been nominated though, as that's the best movie i've seen all year.

I think i was jsut expecting better, I was not planning on seeing it but everyone was saying how awesome and amazing it was and the reviews were really good for it. So i decided to see it, and in my opinion, i was just expecting better, and it was not as good as I thought it was going to be.
