I think that the bes post-apocalyptic movie is The Book of Eli.

From the ones I've seen, it's honestly a tie between Book of Eli, and The Road. Both are great for different reasons.
I really don't know why Mad Max had to be dubbed in American English. I could understand it just fine in the Austrailian version.
Mad Max and Blade Runner in my opinion.Stavrogin_
I don't think Blade Runner is post apocalyptic. It's set in the future (8 years, lol) and society didn't collapse.
Mad Max and Blade Runner in my opinion.Stavrogin_Does Blade Runner count? I've always seen it as more cyberpunk then anything, although I guess the concept of everyone left on Earth being unfit to move to other planets and therefore escape radiation poisoning is somewhat apocalyptic.
Mad Max and Blade Runner in my opinion.Stavrogin_How is "Blade Runner" (which shows a very vibrant, high-tech society) a "post-apocalypse" movie?
The book, maybe... not the movie. :?
While I'm thinking about it... I'll throw in "The Road Warrior" and "The Omega Man" (Charlton Heston >>> Will Smith when it comes being Robert Neville ;) ).
A lot of people seem to like The Road, personally I thought it was the most boring movie. My favorite post-Apo movie is Dawn Of the Dead.MushroomWig
The road isn't an action movie, it represents what would really happen if there was a nuclear winter. Dawn of the dead is a shoot em up. Different genre.

zombie movies do not count! That is completley unfair!

When did I say it was an action movie? I simply didn't like the movie because I thought it was boring. Both movies share the same genre, they're both post-apocalypticA lot of people seem to like The Road, personally I thought it was the most boring movie. Book of Eli with Mad Max slightly behind. I am Legend was pretty good but is a distant third. . . I found The Road so boring that I fast forwarded a bit of it while watching. I never do that on big budget movies, but there was just not enough going on. The action parts were ok though.

Forgot about these. Ok, I'm pushing the others down and putting in my favorite zombie movie, Dawn of the Dead. The new one. I know most people call that blasphemy but I like the updated special effects that were way more realistic, the running zombies (why shouldn't they run if they just died?), and the acting I thought was much better. I liked the original, but I just like newer movies always over older movies. Zombies are the best.

The Dead series slipped my mind... I feel ashamed.
I liked Book Of Ele alot
The Road is pretty good but it is a hard film to watch (not hard as in hard to follow plot, but hard as in disturbing). It sort of has that No Country for Old Men feel to it.
Mad Max series is also pretty entertaining and has a lot of fallout like stuff to it.
... that and Logan's Run.joesh89I almost completely forgot about "Logan's Run." It's the only PG movie I can think of with full-frontal nudity, so it should have just jumped to the top of my brain. :P
Of course, the problem could be that I read the book (which was very different), and got it mixed with the movie.
[QUOTE="AvatarMan96"]That's a comedy, it doesn't count.But it's a post-apocalyptic comedy! :shock:Zombieland

I'd say The Road, but also.. [QUOTE="hollyebobo"]I'll agree with you on this one too, i much preferred the alternate ending over the one they actually put in.i am legend with alternate ending.
Dan_Lero
Yeah the alternative ending really made you stop and think about it. The zombies/freaks or whatever they were had feelings too lol :P
