If you could only pick one, what would you say is the best rap album ever. For me it's easy. NWA - Straight Outta Comptoncu_be_cie
Woah, when I first saw this topic, I was thinking "Straight Outta Compton by N.W.A"!! And your post was the first thing I saw.
Anyways, yeah, I've been listening to N.W.A a lot recently. My favorite song on that album has gotta be "F**k Tha Police". That song is a masterpiece.
You're the man. It Was Written was better than Illmatic.
That's right, not illmatic.theharlemshake
No shame that was one of the best hip-hop albums of the past decade. This is going to make me sound bad but I really like
50 Cent - Get Rich or die Trying
It has so may good songs.

Yes, very hilarious song. I also really like Tupac - Strictly for my (n-words), however, it's pretty depressing. Most rap is upbeat and funny to listen to, but this album pulls no punches, which in a way is a good thing, but then again, the lyrics and mood is really intense and doesn't ever let up. Someone also mentioned Immortal Technique, I have the Volume 1 album of that set, Revolutionary I think it's called.[QUOTE="cu_be_cie"]If you could only pick one, what would you say is the best rap album ever. Yeah that one is definatly a classic, but I would have to go with Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die
I agree with Ready to Die.Hard to say but my favorites would be (In no particular order)
OutKast - Stankonia
Public Enemy - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us
Back Eminem - The Marshal Mathers LP
DMX - It's Dark and Hell is Hot
Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Run-D.M.C. - Raising Hell
I'd go with Things Fall Apart by the Roots. I'm listening to it right now and every track is gold. :)Ninja-HippoI'd say "^ this ^" but Illadelph Halflife has to be my favourite.
