Who is the best rapper still in the game? I'd have to say its Obie Trice.

LOL, Mid-West rap. I know they're from Chicago or wherever, but all I can imagine is some guy talking about the hard streets of Branson.

What about Ludacris. He is a hell of a lot better than Cham. Personally I think the best rapper alive is...I can't choose. Too much criteria.

The midwest part of that list saddens me.
Midwest is ruled by Krayzie Bone (of Bone Thugs N Harmony)
Anyway, for best rapper, its a tossup, for me, between Eazy E, Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Biggie and 2pac

Bizzy is good, but unfortunately for me his voice gets too annoying after a short while :(.

Yeah, I hope he joins back when Flesh Bone gets out of jail next year. Bizzy's had some problems but when he makes a good song, he makes a great song. I cant wait for his new album "A Song For You". Have you heard his "Dont Matter' and 'Listen' promo remixes?

Hmm, depends, I can see what you mean in some songs, but others he doesnt. It depends on what style he uses, which is why hes so great because he has so many styles and flows and its amazing the way he switches them up

yeah lol i've pretty much heard all of bizzy's work; heavenz movie, alpha and omega, the one, and alot of his internet-only releases. the only thing that upsets me with him is that he's over-the-top christian now, his stuff is still good, but i like his older material betterMasterChief1013
Then I dont think you've heard all his stuff, because hes been an over the top muslim for some time. Listen to the internet only release "Evolution of Elevation" (imo his best internet only release)
Now that hes with Virgin records, i think they will straighten him up a bit because i dont think theyll let him release an album thats full of praising allah.
South all time:
1. Andre
2. Scarface
3. Bun B
West all time:
1. Ice Cube

chea. For rappers at this very moment I like Joe Budden, Phonte, Sean Price, Cise Star, One Be Lo, Common, Lupe, Saigon, Black Thought, Therapy, Elzhi, Nas, Pharoahe Monch, Brother Ali, Supastition, Vakill, Ghostface, etc.

Nah more like low to mid 30s. According to wiki, Krayzie Bone is 33. All I know is Bizzy was like 16ish when they recorded Faces of Death. As for the voice, I hope its a little different in every song, like the rough type like thug luv, the very soft and quiet like lots of E99, the more hyped up like thuggish ruggish bone, R&b ish like the whole Gift album. IF he mixes the best of each flows his new album, that would be straight fire
EDIT- are you apart of any Bone board?

To many good ones out there being overshadowed by mediocre and sometimes outright crappy rappers.
I haven't listened to much new rap (by which I mean in the last two years) besides the New Brother Ali CD.
but, if I had to list some that I like I would say Eminem, 2pac, Biggie, Souls of Mischief, Cunninglynguists, Common, Heiroglyphics, Atmosphere, Aesop, Brother Ali, and I guess some Nas.
Never did care for Jay-Z though.
