Start talking to her like a friend at first, I mean aproaching her naturally and spontaneously, like you would a friend, not entering the so called "friend zone" per se (I still don't see what all the fuss is about with the friend zone, my gf and I were the best of friends before we started dating, and we still are, but anyway...), this is the only way to get to know someone beyond "just aquaintances", and if you feel like there's chemistry between you (conversation flows freely, you have a good time together, etc.), then take the next step.

It's really quite simple, you just have to actually do it.
