hmm I have a couple: one year I got a SNES when it first came out.. then in 1999 I got a PS1 2001 I got StarCraft!! 2002 I got Diablo II Battlechest. 2004 I got a GameCube and now 2007 I'm pretty sure I'm getting Guitar Hero 3 :D

i envy you!! i always wantwed a drum kit but my parents wont let me, will disturb them or something from the noise, most quality drm kits are like what 500-3000 though hey?

Heh, my Wally-World kit was about $199. But if your good at tuning, you can make any set sound good.
There's always an electric set, though there a little more expensive. Anywhere from $450-1000 for a good set.
When I was a kid my family was very poor, I mean very poor. I was young and didn't understand so I'd been begging them for an NES since my friend David had it. They told us time and again that they couldn't afford it but we were little kids so we begged anyway. This was the first year the SNES came out, the kid down the street had a Genesis and everyone went over there to play videogames but he didn't like me so I couldn't go.
One X-mas I opened up a small present, it was Troy Aikman's NFL football for the SNES (I idolized Troy Aikman btw so if it seems like a random game it isn't...the man was my HERO)...they got us 5 games and an SNES for X-mas when it came with Mario World and Mario All-stars...I'll never forget that. I still don't know how my mom and dad made that happen but it was special man, special.

Lol nah, my dad had owned his own business and he payed his workers with personal checks, when they didn't file their taxes the IRS came after him...you get where I'm going. A young man's mistake.
Now we are pretty much middle class, but man we were scraping back then. Makes you appreciate stuff more when you've hit the bottom.

It was the first year the Genesis came out and my brothers and I really wanted one really bad. We begged and begged so much then it came christmas time. We went through all the present and there was no Genesis to be found. After we were done opening all the gifts under the tree, my stepdad said "I think I heard something on top of the house last night, I wonder if Santa Claus accidently dropped any presents up there." My brothers and I ran outside because we were still young and believed in Santa Claus. We looked up ontop of the house and there was a Sega Genesis up there and we were so incredibly happy.
When I was young and I was hoping for a gameboy. When I opened it it wasn't a gameboy, it was a super nintendo. Safe to say my reacting was almost exactly like the N64 kid. Thank god my parents didn't film it. >_>
the year i got my n64 was fairly good. the year i got my first electric guitar and amp was fairly good. but my brother was fairly sick the day before. so it didnt even feel like christmas so it wouldve been better if it was. well better.
the present that i was most happy with was the ps1.. i exploded with happiness. It was an explosion of happy. The happiness erupted from my body. All the happy emotions were being displayed.

But yeah prolly my fav gift for X-mas so far would either be my fender electric guitar + amp, or my gameboy color :D Back then, gameboy colors were the ****!!!
it was this huge army set... when i was in 2nd grade... my mom gave me this huge army toy thingie with army vihecle and guns. it was huge and had like 100 toy armies and 10 vihecles. and a bunch of guns. i was happier than when i got nintendo 64, and a playstation
