Based on their most current Albums/ Mixtapes the only rapper I like is Joe budden.

Best: Immortal Technique and Nas

Worst: Soulja Boy, and anyone else who tries to pass off pre-packaged commercialized b.s. as artistic expression.

I'd say I pretty much agree with that list. Jay-Z and Nas FTW, Soulja Boy FTL.

It's a pro hip hop thread in OT. That's all they need to troll with no real reason for disliking it aside from the rampant radio play. In any Hip hop/rap thread, I've only seen two people with some pretty good, legit reasons for not enjoying it that wasn't just personal preference.

Lupe Fiasco is the best rapper right now.

All the haters that are here are very close minded. I never used to like Hip Hop but the lyrics in Hip Hop are so much better than Rock or metal or wahtever you listen to. I still like rock more but seriously a little hip hop is never bad. If you try and listen i'm sure you'll like some of it.TheWindWaker11

I would consider that lyrics statement to be incorrect. Not saying that it's reverse, but there is superb, and absymal in all 3.

I'm sorry, i should have clarified. If you know what to listen to(aka not the radio) the lyrics are generally superior to those of the other genres. Obviously there are exceptions. But on the whole i think that Hip hop lyrics are "better".

Hmm i wasn't impressed by that, but that might just be because of what i look for in lyrics.

Worst? Well, too many to list.

Best? Well, since Dirty Acres just came out recently, CunninLynguists. It's a great album.

the worst rappers, i would say they are all of them, they are all horrible cause rap is horrible. there is no chorus, no melody. rocks better ;) but if i had to pick someone, eminem is pretty bad. Putzwapputzen

The fact that you came in here, just to say that "rap is horrible", proves to me you're pretty pathetic and need to feel better about yourself by doing so. Same goes for the others who just come in for that ridiculous reason.

Anyways, I gotta say Lupe is the best for me right now, that dude's lyrics are genius. And his melodies are incredible too.
