Thinking of leaving GS because right now I barely read any articles and the forum half the time is full of nothing but bs. Only SW is remotely active and frankly some of the threads are so underwhelming or dumb it makes groan. So where have you guys been going of late to get your news? I tried IGN but the community overtly foul mouthed and I tried polygon but the forums are deader than here.

I get all my news from Google's news app. It's an aggregator so it's not always from the same sources, but I get articles from Gamespot, Polygon, PC Gamer, the Verge, Engadget, Kotaku. No forums, though. My perception is that most online discussion gets done on social media nowadays.

N4G, I know the site is trash and filled with fanboys but they have all the headlines on one page so there's that I guess and YouTube.

Now that we got social media, it's kinda easy to get gaming news nowadays, but Gamespot just happens to be my one and only gaming site news but however, I only come here for the forums anyways. I do however go to PC Gamer for PC content. Honestly, most of the gaming sites nowadays are just getting bad and I would say is, you are better off just getting gaming news from the social media now and just come to GS for the forums only. (like I'm doing now)

I like game news as directly-associated to the sources as pos. Often times, these sources spoke for themselves with game trailers: Over the years, game quality, cost, and scope remained understood by having observed and analyzed trailers or gameplay footage then decided on a potential purchase.

I usually get my news from Eurogamer but ever since they went identity politics and let it influence reviews, they've lost a great deal of respect.

But yea, Gamespot is just latching on to whatever is popular and spamming it endlessly for attention, barely click the FP now. Same shit over and over in a loop.

Kinda feel bad for the staff actually, Jess Mcconnell and Mike Mahardy put up good stuff, now they are drowned out by buzzfeed shit.

I get mine from YouTube mostly. I’ve spent so much time on there that the recommed stuff is usually on point. I’ll listen to it while doing other stuff.

I don't mind System Wars, people are just as equally fanboyish everywhere else.

I don't watch YouTube gaming channels anymore. All people do there is bitch about everything. I am surpris d that clowns haven't just given up gaming by now. They like nothing apparently.

the irony is that despite the fact that video games is my only hobby (unless you call watching TV a hobby) and yet I read ZERO game journalist sites.

they are all bullshit. The only one that I can stand for more than a few moments would be Rock Paper Shotgun.

so I get my news from community and youtube channels

I check IGN, Gamespot and then Google: “PS4 News” and just click random websites.

Seems like n4g, PlayStation lifestyle and a few others post a lot of stuff.

You can use Gematsu.com or Wccftech for gaming news. Their comment sections can be interesting.

PlayStation lifestyle has too many ads that bypass my adblocker. I use Pushsquare instead for PS4 news.

This is basically turning into IGN, i used to go there years ago until they started with all the movie, WRESTLING (gftooh!!) and other non game related content. They should at least offer a way to filter it (and i dont meant pick on PS4, PC, etc; i mean videogame and entertainment). Since this shift i've started relying more on Game Informer. I'll just come here for CES and game of the year coverage. Clearly someone likes it or they wouldnt do it but it's such a shame for those of us that come here for videogames.

Yeah, N4G is your destination for all sorts of news. But you have to put up with a lot of blatant clickbaits. And if you say something negative in the comments, you get banned.
