I hate the term"prolife" because if you don't choose it, it makes you sound like you are against life.. which I'm sure is what someprolifers would like people to believe.
Pro Choice. Beating hearts or dividing cells do not constitute life. Sentience does. I don't believe people should have abortions haphazardly. If you choose to have sex then you know there is the possibility of getting pregnant, even if you are using every contraceptive known to man and Ron Jeremy (who I am convinced is somewhere between homosapien and cro-magnum). The only people who have legitimate reasons to get abortions are those who have sex forced upon them or when there is severe retardation.

Trouble with that line of reasoning is that infanticide becomes just as acceptable, given that self-awareness doesn't kick in until sometime after birth.
It's a very grey issue, but the doubt should not give cause for unnecessary constriction. I mean, look, sometimes it really is ok, sometimes it really is not, but we can't legislate that.
