I find it unlikely Obama is going to ask the press to give him some bad press. The media's issues are its own and frankly the news I read doesn't do much of those crazy puff pieces.duxup*cough* Star Tribune *cough*

Just as long as its not the 2003 blue hankie, that was bad
I can agree with this. The mainstream media loves him so much that every reporter wishes they could hug him and never let go.Sure, he's a bit of a media darling, but how much of it is the media's fault? I think he's just trying to have a good public image, but he's overdoing it. Certainly some portion of the blame can be pointed at the media itself.

Bill Maher used to strike me as a guy who knew his stuff, but the more I watched him and found out about his opinions, the more apparent it became that he's just another blowhard. fidosimHe's just another dude on TV all the time who accordingly runs out of stuff to say.
Actually... it kind of is. At least on something other than Fox News.A political television show host denouncing Obama? This is nothing new.

the thing i like about Bill Maher is that he says exactly what he feels. he dosnt care what people think. i agree with what he says 90% of the time, but sometimes i feel he goes a bit too extreme. a lot of people here say " itd be bttr if it was funny"... bill maher starts the show with 5-7 minute bit of jokes, and then new rules is 2 minutes of jokes, with the last new rule being serious, they are always great imo. the bulk of his show when he talks to people is 100% serious, he brings politicians and activists on and actually talks about issues.. i dont know how you can bash that... i rather listen to a discussion between 3 intellectual people.. rather than watch someone like bill o'reily TELLING ME WHAT I SHOULD THINK.nimatoad2000Ann Coulter says exactly what she feels. When McCain was nominated, she didn't hesitate to say how unhappy she was about having him on the ticket. Maher was swooning over Obama just like everyone else during the campaign, to the point where he ignored facts about Obama and his platform that interfered with his own opinions. When Maher has an "intellectual" discussion with someone, the crowd shouts and heckles. But although Bill O'Reilly gets into it and raises his voice often, he brings guests with opposing view onto his show on a pretty regular basis.

Bill Maher brings republicans onto his palen ofen, theirs usually at least 1 republican / conservative person on his panel of 2 or 3 people each week. try watching the show.

That's what I hate about Bill Maher. He never really brings any intelligent people with opposing views on his show. He tries to act like he does, but they usually pick some idiot RINO (like that woman they had this week). When I watch it I end up shouting stuff at the T.V. because of some stupid statement he makes and the supposedly conservative person on the show retorts terribly. I could easily make him look like an idiot on his own show, as well as many other real conservatives.
I like how the President of the NAACP this week says the Republicans should be more like Colin Powell or RINOs (Republican In Name Only). That's pretty much saying he thinks they should be similar to Democrats. So the choice would be between Big Government and a slightly smaller Big Government or even the same. Ironically, this is kind of what it's like right now.
That was pretty good stuff. I kind of wish I had HBO now.
edit: Looks like the shows are avaialable for free on iTunes anyway. I'll have to check them out sometime.
