Tonight one of MMAs greatest legends, Mirko "Cro Cop" Flipovic retires 37 years of age after losing to Roy "Big Country" Nelson at UFC 137.
We will always remember you Cro Cop, a true legend.
More sad news for us MMA fans, B.J. Penn has decided to retire too after his loss to Nick Diaz at the age of 32 at UFC 137.
Like Mirko we will remember B.J. for his incredilble fights and for always coming to fight.
Its truely a sad day, and possibly one of the saddest in my life,
I seriously thought that the ref should have stood them back up and deducted a point from Roy for throwing all those illegal shots to the back of the head and neck.
I'm just glad he went out there and tried his best, especially in that 2nd round if it had been anyone else on the planet but Roy then Mirko would have TKO'd them.
Well Mirko has had his run and hes gonna go down as one of the top 10 fighters of all time, thankyou Mirko for all the great memories and one day i will meet you and thank you in person.
