Black Friday Sales - Dedicated Discussion

Hello Off-Topic!

Let's make a dedicated thread about Black Friday sales worth sharing! When you post any Black Friday sales in this thread make sure the items are not breaking the Terms of Use agreement. In other words, adult stores or other related items is inappropriate for our community. Also avoid talking about games and game platforms, including accessories in this thread.

Here's what to do when you're reporting any Black Friday sales with everyone.

- Provide an internet link to the advertisement, or mention the name of the store. Make sure to share a few details about the items that are on sale, such as dvds, cameras, Mp3 players, sports, clothes, etc.

- Really think about what you are sharing with other Off-topic forum posters. What kind of discussions does OT forum posters talk about? Music? Movies? Socks? Comics? Toothpaste? Be selective about the Black Friday sales you are sharing.

- Avoid going off-topic from Black Friday reporting in this thread. For instance, you might share that the Black Friday sale isn't really a deal because you have seen it somewhere else for much cheaper. Sharing any kind of rip off concerns is fine, just be sure to mention the store or the link to the advertisement to share where the better deal is.

- Similar to the last tip, but do try to keep this as a reporting thread rather than a discussion thread as much as possible. The idea of this thread is to allow you all to check here on November 27th for sales. And.. once November 27th comes along, we should all celebrate on what kind of goodies we picked up that afternoon, why not?!

- You can also mention 1 item such as 'Neon Purple Nike shoes that sing to you while you walk'. Just don't forget to share the price!

If you want to discuss Black Friday sales for games and platforms don't post it here! Go to these friendly GameSpot neighborhoods.

- PC & Video Game Sales should be posted in General Games Discussion.

- PC, Mac, consoles, handheld, and accessories should be posted in the System Wars Forum

Now, go find those sales and get reporting! I expect to see at least 20 relevant links by next Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving!

Note: Black Friday is November 27th, and can start anywhere from 12am or 6am at a location near you, depending on the stores or websites online.

Definitely looking at MP3 players, broke my zune a while ago and really need another. If only I could get the Zune HD, I'll probably settle for one of the 2nd generation zunes.

Alright, I'm hitting up Best Buy on thier amazing deals!!

1. New Verizon Droid for $200 instead of $600

2. Tom Tom GPS for $150 instead of $270

3. Some new games: Dragon Age, L4D2, and Need For Speed Shift all for $35 Each

So far that's it, but am being updated as the days go on, I will post new updates with great deals when they arrive!! =)

I might stand in line at Frys for 3 hours again to get something. I missed it last year. Thinking about a new Video Card for the PC.

I have the option of getting a laptop at best buy or from Dell's website. The pros of getting the one from best buy are that it is $50 cheaper and it has a bigger hard drive and the con of course is that I have to get there around 5:00 PM the day before and camp out. The pros of theDell computer consist of not camping out but cons are of course a higher price tag plus a smaller hard drive.

So what do you guys think should I get the Dell from the website or the Sony from Best Buy?

I found this article interesting. Blu Ray player for 78 bucks. Not bad.
