I can't tell if this will be awesome or awful.

What? Did they resurrect Randy Rhoades from the dead? lonewolf604
What are you talking about? Randy was from his solo years, not with Sabbath...
Seen the original line up back in 2000 - if that tour comes near my area I'll see them again.
And this new album they're working on is being produced by Rick Ruban - interesting.
Be nice if they could come back and make some new music rather than the inevitable Lets-Play-All-Our-Old-Songs-And-Call-It-A-Day Tour. Then again... they probably shouldn't, as metal (doom specifically) has come a long way since their original removeal of Ozzy.foxhound_foxNobody paying to see Black Sabbath wants to hear them play new crap.

To be fair they are making a new album and are touring. They'll probably play 1 or 2 songs off that album.
I saw Ozzy last year during his Scream tour and he played a few new songs off that album which was cool.
Ozzy is stil Ozzy? Maybe in the literal sense but he can't movies or speak anymore.Iommi's riffs still kicks ass and well...Ozzy is still Ozzy so I think this might actually be a comeback that could work. I admire Iommi's creativity when it comes to making it simple and still keeping it fresh all these years..

He still sounds like the same Ozzy because he lip-syncs.

I should have said recording - his singing for the most part has sounded the same and it's more coherent than his normal speech.[QUOTE="worlock77"]

That goes for any recording artists too. Can't tell if you're serious... woops let me clarify, I can't stand anything ozzy unless it has randy in it, I know he isn't in sabbath[QUOTE="lonewolf604"]What? Did they resurrect Randy Rhoades from the dead? Pirate700

That goes for any recording artists too.Sure it could, but it doesn't necessarily. That stuff eats up a lot of studio time, and studio time costs a lot of money. Many artists couldn't afford that even if they were inclined to use it.

The record label pays for that stuff.[QUOTE="worlock77"][QUOTE="despa1r_fact0r"] That goes for any recording artists too.despa1r_fact0r

The record label pays for that stuff. No, the artist pays for that stuff. The record label at most fronts them the money to do so. Whatever money the label spends on behalf of the band the band owes back to the label and does not see a single penny of royalties until the label has made it back.
Not a good idea....it'll just tarnish their image. Best to leave things to memory.LJS9502_basic
A legendary metal band is reuniting and a newer generation has the chace to see them live. And you say that's a bad thing? lol
Ozzy can still sing and he puts on a hell of a show.
So... enough of them finally ran out of money...CreasianDevaili
Or they love music and playing in front of millions of fans?
