Which would you rather be?
And explain too if you want.

It'd suck not listening to music and such. But really, blind is just much more difficult to live with. Deaf is my choice.
Why no poll?

eh, its only 2 choices.
Blind, I would get to know people for who they are instead being distracted by their physical appearance. I would in a sense see more of the world, not visually of course but by the other senses and be able to be blinded and ignore the popculture needs for physical beauty and standards. I would live in a world of ignorance bliss.greenprince
I love the way you think. Reminds me of myself.
Blind. A world of silence would drive me insane, not being able to listen to music would be a terrible loss, and I find that being able to feel emotion is more tied into hearing than seeing. Sure sight would lend itself to better independence, but it's also a lot more superficial.
A hard choice, but I'd choose being blind over deaf any day of the week.

Emotions are about what you believe is happening. I think sight can do this better then hearing.
Blindness is the worst sense-loss a human can have. We can still function thanks to the other senses kicking in, but humans are visual creatures, even blind people see with a "minds" eye. Being deaf would suck, but not as bad as blindness.Premier1101
Exactly what I was thinking.

I don't have to believe in something to feel emotion, I just feel it. I'm not saying sight doesn't or can't bring emotion, but hearing to me is so much more enveloping and engrossing.

Well, for you to feel an emotion, you must sense something first. I think you can sense a lot of things more easily by sight then by sound.
Deaf, because I can still experience the best things but without the nagging. Yes yes I know EPIC win :P

Atm I care a lot more about my vision than my hearing.
I thought I was going blind a few months ago when I got 1 flash of light in complete darkness and another night when a large white circle appeared blocking my view and went after a few seconds.I havent had anyother things happen since then but was caused through a lot of straining in my eyes.
