Blood in my crap....

Ok so i was obviously doing my business, wiped and realized that there was a little blood on it. Same thing happend about and hour later. ive been thinking that i was eating alot of sunflower seeds shell and all and i think it might have cut my a hole. im just wondering if that if is serious cause its not painful and its not like just falling out and im thinking its just a little cut. Anyones input would be very helpful.

Could be hemorrhoids, fissure, colon cancer, coloring of something you ate, Crohn's disease, etc. A bowel obstruction was the cause of death of the little girl from the movie Poltergeist.

Basically, go to the doctor.

On a serious note, I don't think its a big problem so don't worry.

Get some garlic to disinfect your stomach, eat some cooked carrots too and stuff with fibres. It will help you out, if the problem continues consult a doctor.

If it's red blood, then that means you have a cut in your colon. Usually it's nothing to worry about.

If it's black, then that isn't good.

Sludgy blood means you may have colon cancer.. Bright red blood means you have a fissure or a hemeroid... This could be due to stress, over exerting.. Excercise.. Just get plenty of fiber intake and wash your area thoroughly when you shower.

Should get it checked out... Blood in crap is not supposed to happen.

Also as far as your comment about it being a cut from sunflower seeds... No, its not... By the time any solid, hard, or sharp food reaches your intestines, it will be broken down by the acid in your stomach...

You don't need it checked out inless its black and sludgy blood or it has been occuring for more than a week.. This could be a anal fissure for all we know.. Fissure is basically a tear in the muscle wall that can lead to bleeding.

It isn't necessary to see a doctor if its bright red blood meaning its blood from a fissure.. These things happen to every one in life, it only becomes a concern if he continues to bleed for over a week or two.

Definitely go to a doctor about this. It's probably nothing serious, but you don't want to take a chance with it. Blood in the stool should ALWAYS be evaluated by a physician.

Time is definitely a factor, but this isn't entirely true. Bright red blood can be caused by a polyp or tumor on or near the anus. Waiting a few days to see if it clears up on its own isn't a terrible idea, but I wouldn't let it go on for more than a few days at most before I have it checked out.

All I can tell you is that you probably have nothing to worry about, unless your poo is also bloody, and I dont mean seeing red after wiping, I mean, before you flush, stand up, look at the poo, if you see red then you have something to worry about.

Anal fissure. Just a cut in your anus basically. I'm having the same problem right now but it is nothing to worry about unless it persists for a long time. If it does then you could need surgery. Use soft toilet tissue as not to irritate it and let it heal.

Also the guy who said "shave your butt hole" may actually make some sense.

I would have to agree with this posting, its accurate. A fissure hurts like hell, and has very bright red blood bc it is a tear in the lining tissue. Try eating lots of fiber and avoid high protein diets. However despite what many people are saying, blood in stool if dark does not signify colon or GI cancer... it could, but the odds are that it is some other less harmful and easy to solve issue.

if it persists, just go to your PCP.
