Any good movies that have been translated well into BD that i should own? I've bought a few so far; Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Pirates of the Carribean(kinda iffy on the quality in a lot of the scenes), & Wall E. Any recommendations on any other good movies?

Try 2001: A Space Odyssey or Chungking Express.

I personally don't see the point in blu-ray. I really can't see it making any difference to my enjoyment of films, even if I notice the improved picture quality which I find rather doubtful. On topic, IMO you should just buy great films for cheaper on standard DVD.

well the quality in picture of standard DVDs and HD or BD is quite significant so you would notice is, especially if you're watching on a 52", but this wasn't my question anyway; thanks, though...i think.

You have a 52" TV? Mine still has cathode ray tubes in it. I suppose how much value blu-ray is depends on the type of film you watch.I mean, I'd rather watch Seven Samurai on video than Transformers on blu-ray, but that might just be me.

Sunshine is a great sci-fi flick. Get's a little over-the-top toward the end, but the visuals and the score are so fantastic I didn't really care...one of my favorite movies. Love Danny Boyle...go see Slumdog Millionaire in theaters while you're at it :D

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You may laugh, but it seriously looks awesome on BD and it's actually quite the funny movie for adults too.

No Country for Old Men is a good one also.

They say that some older movies on blu ray look like regular DVD quality.

Anyway if you have any favorite TV shows, check if they have those also.
