[QUOTE="PrimordialMeme"]stop using chemicals on your skin perhaps, water does the trick ;)TongHua
You're one of those guys that everyone slowly scoots away from in a crowd aren't you...
Not at all.
See: Marketing
I dont mean to sound like a hippy but advertising is a mind ****.
Unless you're some sweaty stink bog, some obese mess then you don't need to put all these fake, inactive chemicals on your skin. Soap is fine when you need it, after a workout or something thats good. But its a specifically created meme corporations have for you to think you need it all the time. Society, especially teens are conditioned and targeted by marketers to believe this is how you should think and act. But its false.
Imagine if you could create a body wash that did little to nothing. What if it had some FUNKY chemical that made you stink horribly the day after you used it!! You would need people to use it everyday. $$$$$$$$ I'm not trying to criticize anyone, just offering some food for thought and educating on marketing and business and reality.

lol, hippy commie rant.
put down the peace pipe buddy.
so old spice, irish spring, axe and dove are all evil soap corporations with soap that makes you smell 1 day after you use it so u have 2 keep using the product and buying new ones when it runs out? ROFLcopter_69
Its my experience that if you use it constantly it does have that effect.
I ask you this, do you think by now science can't or hasn't already been able to create a chemical/formula able to create a delayed smell? A smell that would obviously increase with increased use of said product. Do you underestimate entrepreneurial spirit so much?

I ask yout his, do you think by now science can't or hasn't already been able to create a chemical/formula able to clean your body more effectively than water alone? Asoap that would obviously be logical to use in order to clean yourself from day to day? Do you overestimate entrepreneurial spirit so much?
But seriously it's like you're saying that the human body doesn't smell naturally and that it takes science to make us smell.
Another big piece of information on you about these personal products, ask a dentist what happens when you use too much toothpaste. Its also made by these same companies, colgate-palmolive types. Old spice is made by proctor and gamble but its all business. I would do the same.
Anyway, if you use too much toothpaste it SCRATCHES your enamel. Thats how it works, toothpaste is an abrasive thats how it scrapes the plack off teeth, otherwise it wouldn't work. But its about the amount you use. So go call your dentist and ask him some time. Many dentists dont bother to even say that (for obvious financial reasons perhaps). So many people aren't even warned by their dentists that unless you use a small amount of it (less than a pea size on your brush) you will be wearing down your teeth. So these products clean you in certain ways, but also have other deleterious effects that get you to buy more. Toothpaste companies want to sell more so they have a full brush of paste in every commercial, which is way too much. Also look into how too much flouride is causing tooth decay thats a whole different discussion. Then they sell floss and other mouth products. So the worse your teeth get by overusing the product, the more toothpaste and etc you'll want to use cleaning your crappy teeth.

its not that i under estimate the "entrepreneurial spirit" of modern technology and science, in all likelyhood, such a substance probably exists. Soap would be a good product to apply it, u get people thinking that they smell becuase theyve gone 2 long without sudding up and the only solution is 2 use more soap when in reality its actually the soap causing the smell, its genius really and simple. now get every1 (or at least most people) in the world bathing with ur product, ur friggin rich. as far as conspiracy theorys go, this is a good 1.

Oh Em Gee a product with a downside? That's like saying chemo therapy is a conspiracy because it makes you bald. Perhaps the chemotherapy companies are in league with the hair growth hormone companies in order to initiate the rise of the illuminati in the final crescendo of history in 2012!

Interesting you mentioned that. Chemo drugs are treating cancer, though here it is quite evil.
If there was a cure for cancer there would be no money in it! Think about that. You wouldn't be on pills that cost thousands of dollars every month. They can only keep a pill patented for a handful of years, then the pills cost pennies in the free market!
Look at Magic Johnson the dude got AIDS and lived from it. Now maybe he was just lucky, or maybe he got some crazy cure that most people don't get.
The point to all of this is that there is no MONEY in the cure. The real money is in treating the ailment, maybe one you create. In the age of massive corporations and mass markets with so much money involved none of this is farfetched.
