From what I remember of the story, it only makes sense to rate it R.
JustPlainLucas
yes, but i was worried that because it was cgi it be pg-13.
At the con the director did state that he's 99% sure that it will be rated "R" as they aren't skimping on the fight scenes. Lord_Daemon
watch the trailer..i dont think itll be the fighting that will get the R rating....

I did and that's the same trailer the director played at the con. He was suprised with their success at the casting as everybody they wanted to play the characters in the film said yes when they asked.

Its not the same trailer as Comic-Con. This has two more scenes (i'm assuming the above person posted the R-Rated Trailer) which has Jolies character naked at both points hence the R. But yes this was really the first fully CGI Hollywood production that was intended to be adult themed from the get go.[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"][QUOTE="Lord_Daemon"]At the con the director did state that he's 99% sure that it will be rated "R" as they aren't skimping on the fight scenes. It maybe animated but it's still hawt.
After finding out that she would be completely naked during an entire scene, Angelina Jolie immedietely signed on to this movie. When the directors told her that they were considering making her wear a dress or something elegant looking, she grew flustered and threatened to quit.
Seriously, though, of course it's rated R. Censoring it for PG-13 wouldn't just be ridiculous, it would be disrespectful to the inspiration.

but isnt your censorship stricter? no way would a bit of nudity get a film an 18 rating here, it has to have tons of violence and a whole heap of swearing too

Well, a little bit of nudity is allowed in PG-13 movies, but if a character is walking around naked for an entire scene that's a definite no-no. Besides, the movie will almost definetely be brutally violent anyway.

Actually the American Rating system is very screwed up. In Ameria there are only two (known) originizations that work totally in secret, one is the CIA the other is the MPAA and they are really quite flawes. Try and look out a documentary called "This Film is Not Yet Rated" it explains it better than i can. In the end America looks more strongly on sexual content than violence which is not done in any other country, everywhere else the violence will get you the higher ratings in America its nudity, for some strange reason...is it true that kids can get in to an R rated film if they are with their parents?
you see it on things like south park all the time but ive never understood it
[QUOTE="villa4europe"]is it true that kids can get in to an R rated film if they are with their parents?
skullkrusher13
yes.
thats nuts
we can only do that here if the film is a 12
Some theatres you have to have your parents watch it with you if it's R (read as: doubled profits) but the theatre I go to, you just have to have your parent buy you the ticket.is it true that kids can get in to an R rated film if they are with their parents?

Well, it's not really nuts. It leaves it up to the parents to decide. However, a lot of parents are dumbasses. So...yeah, a lot of kids see R-rated movies.

the understatement of the century. Seriously.

And thats only because of Spider-Man. I heard a while ago there was a really big outcry here when Batman was released with that being an 18 here, everyone sort of kicked up that their kids wanted to see Batman but couldn't and that never really changed anything, Spider-Man did though. In the end its best not to trust the ratings board at all and after you see "This Film is Not Yet Rated" you'll understand why....Dont know if this has been posted but theres a new internationalBeowulf trailer thats rated R so i quess the movies gonna be R which is a good thing.

I wonder how they covered the giant cross tattoo on her left-side belly. After finding out that she would be completely naked during an entire scene, Angelina Jolie immedietely signed on to this movie. Polar Express. Good movie, I remember watching it on a plane a couple years ago.
What I don't get about this movie, though, is that the CG is SO INCREDIBLY realistic that they might as well have just made it live action. I mean...what's the advantage to doing it this way?AquaMantor
well even if real grendel, the dragon and alot of the action woulld of been CG anyway. He must of said screw it, make it all CG like Polar Express, then we are free to do more things.

Style, Tone, etc. If everyone kept doing basically the same thing there would be no evolution in cinema at all, we'd still be watching silent movies....
lol The only way to/we will ever see Angelina nude, in a movie that is, cause I'm still hoping for a stolen home video tape to be released on the Internet. :Pgs_gear
Try watching a movie of her's called Gia. She struts around fully nude in a number of scenes...

You're lying if you don't remember any nudity. All that movie is, is nudity. And furthermore pretty much every movie she has been in has her naked in it. Gia, Mojave Moon, Cyborg 2, Playing God, Original Sin, Taking Lives, Foxfire, Pushing Tin (fairly certain).
Finding her naked is not very hard.

Yes Gia is the movie about the supermodel. I don't actually think you are a liar, I just find it hard to believe that you don't remember the nudity as this movie was so drenched with it. Watch it again and you'll be rewarded with some very nice imagery.
