George Lazenby was an underrated Bond. It's too bad that he only did 1 film that a lot of people forget about.. But then again, nobody could've saved Diamonds are Forever from being completely awful.. not even an overweight Sean Connery.
I think they should end the series by having Bond get shot in the face by some random thug in the middle of an action scene 45 minutes into the movie. That's it, no funeral, nothing.. Just cut to credits :P
Casino royal was a discrase that almost put me to sleep. (suceded in the person next to me).
Bond's great mission, win a ******** card game. We went from death rays to this.
And were is the bloody gadgets. No gadgets, no bond.
I think the series should have died after Q.
I think Craig is an excellent bond, and CR was an excellent movie, but QoS was a mess.
GreySeal9
My thoughts exactly. CR was a great Bond movie. QoS was such a letdown, although the storyline regarding the value of fresh water was very timely. Craig is probably the most realistic Bond yet. Connery was awesome, Lazenby was pretty good, Roger Moore was the best pervert of them all, Dalton was great, Brosnan was really cheesy, but good.. and Craig is a badass.
I see your point.Casino royal was a discrase that almost put me to sleep. (suceded in the person next to me).

Pierce is myfavouriteBond. Goldeneye was such a good film/
The_Gaming_Baby
Sean Bean made that movie IMO.
Good to see him come back. He is easily one of the best Bonds. He is actually what Bond was meant to be from the books. More brutal and cold. Which is also why I think Timothy Dalton was a great Bond. The gadgets and plots of the Bond films were starting to become ridiculous. They were a parody of themselves after a while.
No love for George Lazenby?
I couldn't fit him in the poll no love for woody allen/?Good to see him come back. He is easily one of the best Bonds. He is actually what Bond was meant to be from the books. More brutal and cold. Bingo. Casino Royale was classic Bond. QoS was crap, but that's the director's fault, Daniel Craig managed to keep it from completely sucking.
Also Timothy Dalton is completely underrated as Bond.
Quantum of Solace was a godawful movie. It was the kind of film that wrecks careers and ends franchises. I'm amazed they're making another one so soon and still using Craig.
Casion Royale was the best Bond movie in years IMO (QoS was the worst) - although I grew up in the Roger Moore era and therefore have a strong association with him, Daniel Craig has the potential to be a fantastic Bond; far more interesting than the slick/contrived Brosnan interpretation...
Nobody on Roger Moore? Granted Sean Connery was the best James Bond, But I do think Roger Moore was a superb James Bond aswell.Treflis
I voted for Roger because I've always loved his total pervert version of Bond. :P
Craig is a good bond however the way they rebooted the series has made the movies mediocre (no gadgets, no Q, etc). My favourites would be Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan, i know Conery stayed to the essence of Bonds character the most but Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan were able to show bothe the serious and light-hearted sides, and were a hell of a lot more entertaining and likeable as Bond.

The film with George Lazenby (forgot the name) is probably the worst Bond film I've seen, its very boring and hes not that good.

I'm one of the few people here who liked Qos. The plot was a bit convulted, but it reminded me of the Dalton bond film License to kill which is why I liked it.
I'm no where near exciting for the new James Bond. QoS was one of those films that wasn't bad or good, just forgettable (not helped with all the bland, emotionless acting).

I agree to this. I grew up as a kid watching old Bond movies with over the top action, villains, and gadgets.
The 2 new ones lacked all of this.
It felt more like a Bourne movie then a Bond movie.:(
I honestly struggle to recall individual scenes from QoS. I can recall several memorable ones from CR, despite how much I rag on it for being too focused on a firggen' Texas Hold 'Em game. QoS was just that; forgettable.I'm no where near exciting for the new James Bond. Brosnan is Irish. Connery is Scottish. What's your point?
This. Completely nailed it, minus the Timothy Dalton part....Good to see him come back. He is easily one of the best Bonds. He is actually what Bond was meant to be from the books. More brutal and cold. Which is also why I think Timothy Dalton was a great Bond. The gadgets and plots of the Bond films were starting to become ridiculous. Yeah, but at the same time, I've always thought of Bond as a kind of fantasy for guys. It's filled with stuff that your best dreams are made of (which is why Nolan put some "Bond-like" aspects into Inception). It shouldn't be rooted entirely in reality, or else it becomes much more generic and forgettable (not saying the news ones are "realistic", but they are more grounded in real-life).
The villians have been completely forgettable in these new movies, there needs to be more style, more one-liners.

▲ Atleast Brosnan sounds british in the movies. Connery didn't even try. ▲

What do you think Britain is? England????
Craig is a really good Bond, imo. He's supposed to cold, calculating, and ruthless, and Casino Royale got all that. QoS was okay, but it's still better than the cheesy crap they were pumping out towards the end of Brosnan's career.
[QUOTE="Loco_Live"]
[QUOTE="hesel"]
Connery is British as he is Scottish. Pierce Brosnan is Irish. :P
Also Brosnan didn't sound British, as there is no such thing as a British accent. Pierce was more of a Cork accent crossed with the Queen's English.
I liked the reboot, after Die another day, it needed it.poptart

▲ I have honestly no clue. I never paid attention to UK stuff in school. And I havn't looked at a map in a long time.▲
