Personally I think bottled water is a huge waste of resources. You waste the energy that it takes to process the water, the plastic and paper for the lable. Then the transport issues, that takes energy too. Then they sell it to us....we have taps! Use them!

Post and say what you think. Do you drink Bottled Water? I Hope not.

I agree completely. It's incredibly stupid when people buy water from a vending machine right next to a water fountain.

I try to carry a bottle of tap water with me when I go out..... But sometimes, I forget, or have too much other stuff, or run out of water. Then bottled water is nice to have instead. Sometimes, I will choose coke or something over it.... depends how healthy I'm feeling =P

Tap waters fine and if your tap water doesn't taste too hot then just filter it. You do realise Evian is Naive spelt backwards right?

It's easier for a lot of people to just buy a case and leave it in the car, there's not always going to be water were you're going and if there is it's not always going to taste as good.

What system? People want bottled water, you can buy one of those giant cases of them for like a dollar at a lot of places, it's a lot easier than washing out a bottle every day so it doesn't get moldy, I've tried that for a while and it got annoying really fast. If you're at a place that has water near by than that's something different, if you have a job where you can't have that luxery because you're always some place new every day or the water tastes like crap than bottled water is the best option i think.

When I lived back in the country and had our own well instead of city water - it was tap. BUT now that i have moved into basically a city, the water smells, tastes and even feels like swimming pool water. They put lots of chemicals in the water here for purification purposes and what not, but I honestly just cant drink it. Plus, I dont want those chemicals in my system, So  I get bottled distilled water. It tastes better, smells better, and if I honestly would use it to bathe if I could - wouldnt dry my skin out so much. And yes, I bought a tap filter, thing is, i still can taste it and smell it for some reason, its just not good.

Edit: I dont even like the soda here from the soda fountains at the food courts and resturants cause I can taste the chemicals through the soda.

I drink bottled water....my sister doesn't have much of a choice since she gets sick whenever she gets it from the tap. Most tap water has a bunch of sediment in it.....why do you think so many companies sell water filters?

I don't drink bottled water at home but on rare occasions when my family are out camping. And we re-use the bottles. Bottled water is a waste.

They are fighting a system that is so decadent that it actually buys bottled water that is simply filtered tap water from a municipal system. Have you ever looked at the labels on brands like Aquafina and Poland Spring? If not, then you'll notice the word "municipal" or something of the like. That basically means it came from the TAP of whatever city it is bottled or shipped from. The only reason why it tastes better is because it is filtered, nothing more. You can easily get filters from your local hardware store. Sure it's a pain to wash out water bottles, but you do realize that it will take at least 100,000 years for those bottles to decompose in a landfill? Whereas if you simply use an actual water bottle, it'll keep the amount of waste down to a minimum.

I prefer filtered tap water over bottled water as tap water has much higher standards of purity testing. Read up on the low standards of bottled water (especially if it is bottled "in state") for some scary revelations.

Exactly, though a bit exaggerated. The litterers far outnumber the recyclers. My family recycles, but few others in our neighborhood do. It's just that much easier to throw everything into one bag than it is to sort it all out.

There are more litereres than recycleres but there are still alot of people who recycle too.

Me too, but I dont use them for too too long, aparently the plastic degrades and eventually enters your water. Thats bad.
