The article says "collapsed onto the tarmac", so does that mean the boy could have fallen out at any time. If so, it would have been a crazy news story if a half-frozen human body just exploded onto the street in some Russian town. luccaface
That was after the plane landed. The boy survived, although according to the othe article (link at the bottom of this article) he will probably have to have his hands amputated.
Sounds like he's lucky to still have two functional arms and two functional legs. A lot of the time you can't save heavily frozen limbs. Kid's lucky he's not a living torso with a cold head on top.
