Just want to see where Off Topic's opinion lies on this... two headlining shows for two premiere networks, which one do you like best?

Breaking Bad

Game of Thrones

definitely breaking bad.. I love game of thrones but i mean breaking bad had to work from the ground up. GOT had established material to work with.

Whoops, just realized I never answered the question myself :P Anyway, Breaking Bad by a long shot. More consistent, better characterization, incredible pacing, great writing, and holy shit, is it a powerful show.

Breaking Bad by far. Game of Thrones is a good show, but nowhere near the quality of Breaking Bad.

Fvck 'em both, the are totally useless. Instead watch something informative like CNBC, Fox Business, Zakaria GPS or 60 Minutes instead.

Both great TV, but BB is better. I do admire the sheer scope and ambition of GoT though; I'm struggling to think of a show I would consider more "epic".

By watching TV programs about reality I have learned about where to allocate my resources to better serve me and my children so when I die, I know that I leave behind plenty of resources for them.

You seem to have thinking confused with regurgitating opinions that are expressed loudly by talking heads.

So do you. Except your talking heads don't discuss differences of opinions based on facts, but they express human expression that occurs within their own world. They are not reacting to what is going on around them.

No it's not. This is where you fall victim to the belief that corporate propaganda has such a big control over everyone's life. Propaganda orchestrated by people like me who read into the facts rather than believing everything being talked about is lies... you have no intellectual filter.

They're both good shows and both in my top 3, but I give it to Breaking Bad. I am absolutely fascinated with the GoT world though and I'm currently reading the books.

Breaking Bad. A Song of Ice and Fire is my favorite book series, and knowing the plot takes away a bit of the fun from the show but it's still good.

Want to know what is extremely stupid about this conversation? The fact that it's on a video game forum now that's funny. Pretty much throws your whole point out the window.

I really like both of the shows. My favorite would probably be Game of Thrones though. I thoroughly enjoy Breaking Bad, and Walter White is an amazing character, but I find that the show can get kind of dull at times.

Breaking Bad. I got swept into the Game of Thrones hype a couple years back and read the first four books. Watched like 5 game of thrones episodes and saw it was basically a worse version of the books. Also after starting the Malazan Book of The Fallen series I realized how much pointless stuff is in the ASoIAF series.

Breaking Bad by a MILE.  Game of Thrones, while very good, is slower than watching grass grow.
