So what do you prefer British comedy or American comedy. For me has to be british comedy although i do still like american comedy shows such as family guy,Scrubs, friends, simpsons, married with children, south park,Futurama, happy days, wounder years, king of queens, two and a half men and probly some more i carnt think of but the thing about american comedy is theres always a morale at the end and they can go over the top. and i prefer the sarcasm and dry humour of british comedy you carn't beat shows like only fools and horses, fawlty towers, the young ones, bottom, blackadder, red dwarf, father ted, step toe and son,are you being served, absolutely fabulous, the leaugue of gentleman, one foot in the grave, little britain, monty pythons flying circus, 3's company, austin powers and the Monthy Python movies.

whats your opinion?

British comedy

i find Britcoms to be a lot funnier do to the absurdity and randomness that they often have. as opposed to American sitcoms always using relationship or family humor.

I'm not sure, let me think here...

My favorite piece of Brittish Comedy is Monty Python, my favorite piece of American Comedy is The Office....

I like The Office better than Monty Python...

I'll have to say American.

Although i also enjoy american comedy shows, i prefer British and Irish comedy/comedians much more, same reasons as you pointed out. best example is the office i find the British version funnier than the American version.

*sigh*

When presented with two points of view, it is indeed an option to prefer one without hating on the other.

British comedy, by far. Although, since the release of BBC Three, there's been some crap churned out.

I prefer British comedy, and whilst america has got some very good shows, British Shows (Blackadder and Monty Python for example) and standups are also brilliant, i dont like American Stand Up.

Bill Bailey, Jack Dee, Lee Evans amd Omid Djalili are my favourite stand up comedians.

British - I have laughed more in one Monty Python movie than I have in a combination of American comedy movies.

That may be unpopular, but No one is to throw stones until I blow this whistle...

I'll say American only because I've had more exposure to it, but from what I can tell British comedy is pretty awesome too.
