Lady Gaga is nothing to mess with either , but she just came onto the "POP" scene , with a few #1 hits..... If lady gaga makes it for another 10 years and people don't grow tired of her then you can compare the two easily.... but until then Britney has the upper-hand due to background and history... and is still doing great for a 10 year plus career . While Britney has more hits because she's been around longer, how many of those hits were actually good? None of them are classics. The only reason anybody besides a Britney fan would listen to one of her old songs is for lulz.

The Michael Jackson/Beyonce comparison is absurd. Michael Jackson is not just known for his longevity, he is also known for legendary songs and an amazing voice and dance skills. Britney is only known for good dancing. Her voice is mediocre and she doesn't write the vast majority of her songs.

Also, Beyonce is much more talented than Britney as well. Her music is not that good (besides a few songs), but her voice is deep and powerful.

Britney may still be making music, but it's god awful. Is anybody besides a Britney fanatic going to actually say her new single is any good?

To be fair, I absolutely can't stand death metal and to me I can't understand why ANYBODY would call it music. But at the same time, I have friends who absolutely can't stand rap music and can't understand why ANYBODY would call it music either. The fact of the matter is that people will have their own tastes in music and you shouldn't ridicule somebody for liking something you don't.

As for Britney versus Lady Gaga, in my opinion Gaga has a better voice but Britney is a lot easier on the eyes especially after she pulled her head out of the toilet and got hot again.

The way you posted your response about people liking Lady Gaga looked like sarcasm and disbelief. Or in other words, like "who in their right mind would like that freak?" I'll admit that Gaga is nothing short of weird. But that doesn't take away from her vocal talents. One thing I can say on your behalf is that the first song I ever heard from Eminem was "My Name Is." I thought it was one of the stupidest songs I ever heard and I actually thought he was a joke rapper like Weird Al doing one of his many impersonations. Ten years later and he's probably the best selling rapper ever (if I'm not mistaken he passed Tupac in sales but I can't say for sure). We'll just have to see where Lady Gaga is in ten years, we already see Britney is still here after over ten years, although she's not as popular than she was when she first came out.
